Police officers recorded stripping women naked and beating them in front of their crying children


Police launched an investigation after a video showed a group of police officers brutally attacking several women, according to police in Zimbabwe. A human rights activist, who was only identified as Chofamba, posted the video clip, showing police officers dragging the women to waiting trucks. According to witnesses at the scene, police showed up at the women’s homes early in the morning in order to arrest them for an undisclosed crime. After the women put up a fight, police stripped them naked and beat them up. They were the dragged in the street to waiting trucks.
The video shows children running around and crying as they watched their mothers being humiliated in public. One child was naked from the waist down and only had a torn undershirt. Human rights activists condemned the violent arrest as a violation of human
