Uncle pushes 17-year-old gay nephew off 9th floor balcony after revealing his sexual orientation


The president of Russia, Vladimir Putin, announced that officials will investigate alleged persecution of gays in Chechnya, following reports that a teen was pushed to his death. A friend of the 17-year-old gay boy, revealed that the victim was pushed off a 9th floor balcony by his uncle after revealing his sexual orientation. The friend, who wished to remain anonymous to safety concerns, said that he was forced to flee Chechnya after telling a religious leader that he was gay.
The young man reported that the imam told him to leave the region and he should never came to his mosque again. The young man began fearing for his life after learning the police encouraged people to get rid of their gay family members to wash away the shame. Several people have come forward to say that concentration camps were set up for gay people. Another gay man said that the police have been telling parents of gay children to get rid of them or they will torture them to death.
