Colombia legally recognizes first ever polyamorous marriage of 3 gay men

Victor Hugo Prada, John Alejandro Rodriguez and
Manuel Jose Bermudez

Gay men were delighted to learn that they were legally allowed to get married. Gay marriage was approved and was legally recognized last year in Colombia. Now, for the first time, the courts legally recognized a polyamorous marriage, consisting of three gay men. Polyamory seems to be a growing trend around the world.  Polyamory consists of individuals who have an intimate relationship with more than one partner with the knowledge and consent of all parties. In some cases, one woman has relationships with multiple men, or vise versa. They may all live in the same home, but have different bedrooms, and in other cases, all partners share a bed.
In this case, actor Victor Hugo Prada, sports instructor John Alejandro Rodriguez, and journalist Manuel Jose Bermudez, decided to live together as a union. They wanted to marry legally in Medellin, so that they can get legal rights as all married couples. Lawyer and gay rights activist German Rincon Perfetti said that there are other three-person unions in Colombia. However, this is the first one to be legally recognized.
