Girl, 10, is mauled to death by a lion while having a wee outside at night in Zimbabwe

A girl, 10, has been mauled to death by a lion while having a wee behind a hut in Zimbabwe, according to reports. The youngster’s aunt watched on in horror as the predator attacked and dragged the girl’s body for 300m, police have said.
Little Mitchell Mucheni had gone outside with her aunt Mawonei Muchacha at about 7pm on Saturday when the big cat struck, state-linked newspaper Chronicle reports. Ms Muchacha, 34, had waited at the front of the house while the youngster went to the back. After becoming concerned she went to check on the youngster and saw the lion dragging her body, cops said. She reportedly tracked the animal with a neighbour and found her niece’s body near fields. The attack took place close to a famous game reserve in the south east of the country.
