Jennifer Lopez & Alex Rodriguez's Met Gala outfits being auctioned off to benefit AIDS charity

The Balmain outfits Jennifer Lopez and her boyfriend Alex Rodriguez wore to the 2018 Met Gala are being auctioned off to help in the fight against AIDS. The suit and gown, which were designed by Balmain creative director Olivier Rousteing, are currently being auctioned off on IfOnly.com, with proceeds set to benefit the (RED) Foundation.
The current bid for Jennifer's custom made dress is $5,500, while Alex's black suit is starting at $1,500. It took 'weeks of work' for the Balmain team to create Jennifer's gown, according to the item's description on ifonly.com.
Tailored made for Jennifer, the dress is a size EU 38 and features a giant crystal cross at the center and an elaborate 'black ostrich feather train', which skimmed the floor of the famous Met Gala staircase earlier this week.
The crucifix detail was made as part of the gala's theme, which this year was Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination. Alex's grain de poudre wool outfit took 'days of work' to create, and is a suit size 56.
