Plane crash in South Africa leaves 20 people injured


At least one person is in a critical condition and 20 people have been injured after a plane crash in South Africa.  Crowds have been pictured gathering around the scene which shows the nose and tail of of the plane destroyed in the residential neighbourhood of Derdepoort in Pretoria, close to Wonderboom Airport. 




According to reports, due to road closures and traffic, medics have been unable to get through but an emergency services vehicle has been pictured there.
 It remains unclear what caused the crash or what type of aircraft it is. Tshwane Metro Police Department spokesperson, Senior Superintendent Isaac Mahamba said,  "we suspect that the plane was on its way to the Wonderboom Airport. There is smoke all over and paramedics are on the scene. They will provide an update on any injuries."
