Transgender woman spends thousands of Dollars to look like a dragon


A 56-year-old Texas transgender woman has taken body modification to a whole new level by transforming into a dragon. Eva Tiamat Medusa was born a man but transformed into a woman at the age of 53 and most recently transformed into a dragon. Eva says she was "reborn" to rattlesnake parents and as an homage to them, has decided to morph into a dragon. She says she has two sets of parents; her biological ones who abandoned her, and rattlesnakes who she says raised her when she was abandoned at the age of five. She has decided to transform into a reptile as it’s something she’s always wanted to do.

Ice skaters take to Amsterdam's canals during Europe's big freeze


The freezing conditions gripping Europe have produced one unexpected upside: parts of Amsterdam’s canals have frozen over, allowing locals to ice skate on the waterways. For the first time in about six years, part of the Prinsengracht and Keizersgracht canals froze hard enough to support the weight of dozens of sightseers, locals and ice skaters.  Footage from the canals shows people on skates criss-crossing the ice while others stroll along enjoying the novelty of walking on what is normally flowing water.

7 killed, 7 injured in Jharkhand as speeding car plows through devotees


Seven people were killed and as many injured on Saturday after a speeding car ran over them in Jharkhand's West Singhbhum district, a police officer said. The accident took place late this evening near the Baroda bridge under the Chakradharpur police station, about 90 kms from here.
The car's driver lost control of the vehicle and hit the victims, who were taking part in a religious function on the side of a road, Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Chakradharpur, Sakaldeo Ram, said.

School apologizes after girl’s basketball team defeats opponent 93-7


The girls basketball team at East Bridgewater High School won its playoff opener by a score of 93-7, CBS Boston reports. The Vikings defeated the Madison Park girls in the first round of the tournament on Wednesday. Following the game, East Bridgewater Superintendent of Schools Elizabeth Legault apologized for the blowout win, The Enterprise in Brockton reports.
"This is not a reflection of our student body or our athletic program," Legault said, calling the win "an unfortunate situation."

Elton John storms off stage after fan gets handsy: 'F— off!'


Elton John gave his account of the events that transpired during a Las Vegas performance in which the singer was seen walking off stage mid song.
“Thursday night in Las Vegas a fan put his hands on the piano keys while I was playing and continued to do so even after I asked him to stop,” John said in a statement to EW. “He then proceeded to reach over the piano and try to take pictures, completely disrupting the performance.
“I bring fans onstage every evening when we play ‘Saturday Night’ in the set, it is always a lovely part of the show where I get to meet them, shake their hands and have them right there with me while I play,” he continued. “They have always been very courteous to the fact we are in the middle of playing a song live. This guy was rude, disruptive and had no care or respect for our show and so I let him know how I felt, then left the stage until they had removed him.”

Azerbaijan: Baku rehab centre hit by deadly fire


At least 24 people have died in a fire at a drug rehabilitation clinic in Azerbaijan's capital, Baku, according to the General Prosecutor's office and the ministry of emergency. The Prosecutor's office and the police said in a joint statement on Friday that at least 31 people were rescued, while three people were admitted to hospital. The fire broke out at the the Republican Narcology Dispensary - a one-storey wooden structure - at 06:10am local time (02:10am GMT), the statement said.
Preliminary investigations blamed short circuit in the building's electrical network for the deadly blaze that was put out at 08.30 (04:00am GMT) local time. Criminal cases have been initiated against some construction companies for labour law violations, state news agency, APA said. Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev, who visited the scene, has instituted a commission to be headed by Prime Minister Abid Sharifov to investigate one of the deadliest fire tragedies in the country.

A young father with a baby on the way has revealed his brave battle after being diagnosed with terminal penile cancer. Dale Clarke, 25, discovered a lump on the tip of his penis in June and doctors originally thought it might have been because his foreskin is too tight.

Burkina Faso attack: French embassy targeted in Ouagadougou


Gunmen have launched twin attacks in the capital of Burkina Faso, Ouagadougou, against the French embassy and army headquarters. Eight security personnel and eight attackers were killed in the fighting while 80 people including civilians, were wounded, officials say.
French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves le Drian said there was no doubt it was an act of terrorism. It is was not immediately clear who had carried out the attack.
Burkina Faso Security Minister Clement Sawadogo said there had also been a suicide car bomb attack at the military HQ that may have intended to target a regional anti-terrorism meeting. A room was destroyed by the blast, he said, but the meeting had been moved to another location.
Burkina Faso police said in a statement that units had fanned out across the city to increase security and urged people to remain vigilant.

Thailand blames Nigeria for the collapse of its seven rice mills


On friday, the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Audu Ogbeh said Thailand has accused Nigeria of being responsible for the collapse of its seven rice mills following the drastic fall in rice importation from the country.   The minister made this known at a meeting of the Presidential Fertilizer Initiative (PFI) and leadership of the Fertiliser Producers and Suppliers of Nigeria (FEPSAN) held at the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa, Abuja, on Friday.  The meeting was presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari. 

Las Vegas Massacre: Families of victims to receive $275k each


The Las Vegas Victims Fund on Friday announced that the $31.5 million victims’ fund that started as a GoFundMe effort will see each family of the 58 victims that were killed in the deadliest mass shooting get $275,000.  Stephen Craig Paddock, 64, a resident of nearby Mesquite, Nevada, on Sunday, October 1, 2017, opened fire on a country music festival taking place at Las Vegas Village from a room across the street in the Mandalay Bay Hotel.

He took to his Instagram to share a photo of Ivan Drago from "Rocky IV",  a precise scene where Drago is standing over Apollo Creed as Creed is dying. Drago says, "If he dies, he dies."
Many were quick to figure out that it was subliminal jibe at Rick Ross, who is reportedly on life support after suffering a Heart attack.

Neymar undergoes successful foot surgery


According to officials, the surgery on the broken right foot of Brazil and Paris Saint-Germain superstar Neymar went successfully today. The operation, performed by Brazilian national team surgeon Rodrigo Lasmar, began early on Saturday morning in the Mater Dei hospital in Belo Horizonte, and just after midday (1500 GMT), a spokesman from the Brazilian football federation announced that the operation was over “Neymar is already in his room. It went well,” he said.

Burundi jails officials for allegedly tackling president in football match


Two Burundi officials have been imprisoned after the African country's president was allegedly "roughed up" in a football match they organised. President Pierre Nkurunziza is a 'born-again' evangelical Christian who spends much of his time travelling Burundi with his own team, Haleluya FC. He travels with his own choir, "Komeza gusenga", which means "pray non-stop" in the local Kirundi language.

Queiroz insists the Argentine magician should be suspended by FIFA until he can prove he is not an extra-terrestrial!  The former Real Madrid coach remembers all too well how Messi broke Iranian hearts with a stunning stoppage time winner for argentina during the group stages of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

Man shoots himself outside the White House


An unidentified man shot himself in front of the White House today.
 "Secret Service personnel are responding to reports of a person who allegedly suffered a self-inflicted gun shot wound along the north fence line of @WhiteHouse," the Secret Service tweeted.
 President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump are at Mar-a-Lago in Florida. They are scheduled to return to Washington tonight for the annual Gridiron Club Dinner.
 "We are aware of the incident," deputy press secretary Hogan Gidley said.
 "The President has been briefed. I refer you to the Secret Service for any more information." The Secret Service tweeted an update on the situation moments later: "No other reported injuries related to the incident at @WhiteHouse."
 Secret Service spokeswoman Cathy Milhoan said the incident occurred on the north fence line, the victim suffered a single gunshot wound and Secret Service personnel did not fire any shots.

Papa John’s will no longer be an official sponsor of the NFL


Papa John’s is ending its recently stormy role as an official sponsor of the NFL. Officials at the pizza chain said Tuesday that the two sides agreed to end the relationship, which became strained last year when its founder John Schnatter criticized NFL leadership over national anthem protests by players.
But the company based in Louisville, Kentucky, is not divorcing itself from the league altogether. It says instead it will focus its football marketing efforts on 22 of the league’s 32 teams and its star players. Schnatter blamed slowing sales growth at Papa John’s on the outcry surrounding football players kneeling during the national anthem. The company later apologized for the remarks and Schnatter stepped down as CEO at the end of last year.

19-year-old student shoots and kills his parents when they come to pick him up from college


A 19 year old Central Michigan University sophomore named James Eric Davis, Jr. killed his parents in his fourth floor dorm room when they arrived to pick him up from school for spring break on Friday morning March 2nd. He left the school premises after the shooting and hasn't been seen since then.
 According to The Free Press report, police had taken Davis to a hospital for a psych evaluation, two nights before the shooting. Davis was released from the hospital Thursday morning and he killed his parents on Friday morning. Central Michigan University was on lockdown after the shooting. Police and other law enforcement agencies are searching for Davis, who is armed and considered dangerous.
 Davis is described as a black male, 5-feet-10 and 135 pounds.

Rick Ross is reportedly on life support after suffering heart attack


Rick Ross has reportedly been put on life support at a Miami-area hospital.  According to sources close to TMZ, the MMG mogul was hooked up to a machine that is performing the functions of his heart and lungs. He's currently getting treatment in the cardiatric unit.
The insider describes the procedure as ECMO, or extracorporeal membrane oxygenation. It's a technique used to oxygenate his blood outside of his body, before it's pumped back into his body. This latest development comes after initial reports indicated that the Rick Ross is down with possible Pneumonia after he was found breathing heavy and unresponsive on Thursday morning.
However, MMG rapper  Fat Trel who is signed to Rick Ross' label debunk the report that he is on life support.
"JUS TALKED 2 MY BIG HOMIE... HE GOOD... HE IN DA HOSPITAL BUT HE IS NOT ON “LIFE SUPPORT” ... HE GOOD," Trel wrote.
