Tattoo artist Jon Arton, 36, from Birmingham, thought it was 'hilarious' someone wanted the now-viral spat permanently inked, and was happy to grant the request.
He completed the tattoo on Sunday and thought the request was 'hilarious.'
The tattoo is an exact rendition of a picture of the slap, which was seen worldwide after Smith interrupted Chris Rock's skit at the Academy Awards after he made a joke about his wife's baldness, which is caused by alopecia.

An Algerian man, Sufyian Barhoumi aged 48, has been repatriated from the UD to Algeria after staying in the infamous Guantanamo bay prison for almost 20 years without being tried in court.
He was captured at a safehouse in Pakistan with a top al-Qaeda member in 2002, and accused by the US of taking part in a plan to bomb the US.
But after 19 years in detention, the US Department of Defense said his detention was no longer considered necessary.
The US also said Algeria had given assurances that he would be treated humanely.

The Weeknd has threatened to pull out of Coachella because his pay is less than Kanye West's expected paycheck. It was revealed on Wednesday, April 6, that The Weeknd and Swedish House Mafia were set to replace Kanye West, who recently dropped out of both of his Sunday headlining slots.
West was reportedly prepared to make $8 million, plus a $500,000 production fee if he played the festival.
 A source told Page Six: "The Weeknd came in at short notice to take Kanye’s top spot. But Phil Anschutz [who owns the Coachella Festival through AEG Live] wanted to hold on to Kanye’s money and pay The Weeknd far less, just a few million. The festival would pocket the rest."

Super Eagles midfielder, Kelechi Nwakali has accused his Spanish club, SD Huesca of terminating his contract because he represented Nigeria at AFCON  in Cameroon. Recall that Huesca announced on Tuesday that Nwakali’s contract was terminated without giving any reason for the termination.
In a statement, the club wrote; “The club ends the contractual relationship that linked the Barca entity with the footballer, and which expired in June 2022.”
 Reacting to his termination, Nwakali released a statement on Wednesday, where he accused the club’s Sporting Director, Ruben Garcia of being the brain behind the termination.
 He also claimed that his issues with the club started after he was invited to the Super Eagles squad for the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon, but Garcia asked him to turn down the invitation as it was ‘not an important tournament’

Ukraine war: Fortnite maker Epic Games raises $144m (£110m) to help victims

 

 Epic Games says that it has raised $144m ($110m) in conjunction with Xbox, to aid humanitarian efforts in Ukraine.
The Fortnite maker announced on 21 March it would donate all proceeds from in-game sales, including cosmetic in-game items and virtual currency bought in a shop or online, until 3 April.
And Xbox, part of Microsoft, is also donating the fee it would usually take on items bought by players in Fortnite.
Epic expressed its "deepest thanks" to everyone who contributed.
"Together with the Fortnite community and Xbox, we raised $144m for Direct Relief, Unicef, UN World Food Program, United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, and World Central Kitchen in support of their humanitarian relief efforts for people affected by the war in Ukraine," Epic wrote in a blog post

 An Islamic teacher who raped 13 girls at an Islamic boarding school in Indonesia is now facing the death penalty, a court has today said, after he had initially been sentenced to life in prison.
 Herry Wirawan, who judges said sexually groomed 13 girls, aged between 12 and 16 years old and impregnated at least nine of his victims - was sentenced to life in jail in February but prosecutors who filed for the death penalty filed an appeal.
'(We) hereby punish the defendant with the death penalty,' the judge said in a statement on Monday posted on the Bandung High Court's website.
 Ira Mambo, Herry's lawyer, declined to comment on whether there would be an appeal, citing a need to see the full ruling from the court.

FIFA asked to eject Iran from World Cup for banning women spectators

 

 FIFA are facing calls to sanction Iran and also throw the national team out of the 2022 World Cup finals, over the Islamic republic’s recent ban on women attending an international soccer match.
 Iranian news agencies confirmed that 2,000 women who had bought tickets for Tuesday’s World Cup qualifier against Lebanon in the northeastern city of Mashhad could not enter the stadium.
Activists based outside Iran accused the authorities of using pepper spray at close range to disperse women, who then protested the ban outside the venue.
 The United for Navid group of exiled Iranian athletes and activists, set up after the execution of wrestling champion Navid Afkari in September 2020, said Iran should be suspended from international soccer until it changes its stance.

A new CIES football observatory study has revealed Arsenal star Bukayo Saka as the best performing Under 21 star in European football. The 20-year-old who is enjoying a brilliant season for the Gunners has helped them make a significant push in their quest to reach next season's Champions League.
Saka is the club's top scorer in all competitions with nine of his ten goals coming in the Premier League.

Finland are preparing to make the call on whether to join NATO in just weeks following Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
 The country may join the transatlantic military alliance despite warnings of retaliation and 'military and political consequences' from the Kremlin.
 Prime Minister Sanna Marin this weekend said: 'Both joining (NATO) and not joining are choices that have consequences.
 'We need to assess both the short-term and long-term effects. At the same time, we must keep in mind our goal: ensuring the security of Finland and Finns in all situations.'

 According to The Hollywood Reporter, work on the fourth installment of the Bad Boys film franchise has been halted by Sony following the Oscars shame.
The film would have seen Smith reunited with co-star Martin Lawrence as a maverick Miami drugs agent.
 This comes after Netflix reportedly slowed down production on its planned action thriller movie Fast and Loose, which stars the 53-year-old Smith.

Elon Musk buys $3bn worth of shares in Twitter, becoming the company's largest shareholder

 

The world's richest man, Elon Musk has bought a 9.2% stake in Twitter, according to a US securities filing, which makes him the company's largest shareholder.
The Tesla founder and tech guru bought 73,486,938 Twitter shares on 14 March, according to the US Securities and Exchange Commission, which is worth $2.89bn (£2.20bn), and is more than four times the 2.25% holding of Twitter founder Jack Dorsey.
The news sent Twitter shares soaring about 25% in pre-market trading on Monday, April 4.

 Hacking group Anonymous has claimed to have released 'personal data of 120,000 Russian soldiers fighting in Ukraine.'
 The collective had declared 'cyber war against the Russian government' days after Putin's invasion of Ukraine began.  
Anonymous announced that its latest attack has 'leaked' the personal details of the military.
 According to the Sun, these details include dates of birth, names, home addresses and passport numbers.   

Ford recalls 737,000 U.S. vehicles over software and fire-risk issues

 

 Ford Motor Co (F.N) is recalling 737,000 vehicles in the United States over a part that could develop an oil leak and a software error that could hinder braking, it said on Friday.
The automaker is recalling 345,451 of its 2020-2022 Ford Escape and 2021-2022 Ford Bronco Sport vehicles with 1.5L engines because the engine oil separator housing could crack and develop an oil leak that might cause an engine fire.
Ford said it had reports of at least eight fires that may be related to the issue but no related injuries or crashes. Dealers will inspect the oil separator for damage or oil leaks, and replace the oil separator and seals, as necessary.

 Netflix made the decision following the backlash from Will's shocking Oscars slap, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The film had already lost its intended director before Will Smith slapped Chris Rock at the Oscars, further complicating the film's path to being shot.
 Netflix began searching for a new director, however, after the incident at the Oscars, Netflix decided to put the film on hold.
 Fast And Loose was originally to be helmed by Deadpool 2 director David Leitch, but he had withdrawn from the project just a week before the Oscars.

 The 2022 Grammy Awards winners were announced Sunday, April 3, at a live ceremony in Las Vegas, Nevada. Netherlands coach, Louis van Gaal reveals has prostrate cancer

 

Former Manchester United, Barcelona and Ajax manager, Louis van Gaal, has announced that he is battling prostate cancer.
 The Netherlands head coach confirmed the diagnosis on Dutch television show Humberto as he promoted his new film, LOUIS.
He explained that he had kept the illness a secret from his players for a considerable period of time in order to psychologically protect them.
'In each period during my time as manager of the national team I had to leave in the night to go to the hospital without the players finding it out until now, while thinking I was healthy, but... I am not,' he said.  

Will Smith resigns from Academy membership over Chris Rock slap

 

 Will Smith has resigned from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences after he slapped Chris Rockat the 2022 Oscars.
 The actor, who is facing possible expulsion or suspension, chose to resign instead.
On Wednesday, March 30, the group said Will Smith had violated the Academy’s standards of conduct and that he had 15 days to provide a written response explaining his actions. The organization said Smith faced suspension, expulsion or other sanctions.
 Will Smith has now responded to the Academy.
 He issued a statement obtained by The Hollywood Reporter on Friday afternoon, April 1.

Pope Francis says he may visit Ukraine, condems Putin for "infantile" war

 

 Roman Catholic church leader, Pope Francis has said that he is studying a possible visit to Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine as he blasted Russian President Vladimir Putin for launching a "savage" war.
Speaking on Saturday, April 2 as he arrived in Malta, he delivered his most pointed and personalized denunciation of Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
Pope Francis avoided referring to Russia or Mr Putin by name, but described him as as "some potentate" who had unleashed the threat of nuclear war on the world in an "infantile and destructive aggression" under the guise of "anachronist claims of nationalistic interests."

The 67-year-old star who is known for his roles in hit films such as ‘Pulp Fiction’ and ‘Die Hard’ – has been diagnosed with the condition which seriously affects the ability to communicate and as a result will be taking a break from his career, his daughter Rumer has confirmed.
The ‘House Bunny’ actress wrote on Instagram: “Bruce’s amazing supporters, as a family we wanted to share that our beloved Bruce has been experiencing some health issues and has recently been diagnosed with aphasia, which is impacting his cognitive abilities. As a result of this and with much consideration Bruce is stepping away from the career that has meant so much to him.”
