A trans teen born with male genitalia and raised as a boy has become pregnant after finding out that she has female reproductive parts.  Mikey Chanel, who is in her second trimester at four months, was only diagnosed with Persistent Müllerian duct syndrome (PMDS), a rare condition in which a person has male external genitals, with female reproductive organs internally, last year.
 But 18-year-old Mikey says that she always knew she was a girl. ‘It was obvious to everyone that I was different right from the start,’ said the events coordinator fromfrom Boston, Massachusetts.
‘I never felt like a boy. I was quite effeminate and I never really went through a whole “boy puberty” thing. ‘I only have a tiny bit of facial hair. I’ve always had a feminine-shaped body.’

Man gets girlfriend hilarious cake to celebrate her 'first fart' in front of him

 

When it comes to relationships, there are a number of milestones to celebrate - anniversaries, moving in together, getting engaged and so on. But one couple recently celebrated a rather different occasion - one that many might choose to ignore.
An unnamed man from the US decided to make a big deal out of the first time his girlfriend farted in front of him, going as far as to order a decadent cake especially for her.
A photo of the hilarious bake was shared on Reddit by the man's friend, who captioned the post: "My buddy’s girlfriend farted in front of him for the first time. He got a cake for the occasion."
The cake is covered in piped frosting, with an image on the top of a cartoon woman, with glitter coming out of her bum.

100 pupils test positive for Covid at Zimbabwe school

 

 
A hundred students at a high school in northwestern Zimbabwe have tested positive for coronavirus, the government said Tuesday, raising fears of a new wave of the respiratory infection.
"A total of 100 pupils have tested positive for Covid-19 at... John Tallach boarding secondary school in Matabeleland North," government spokesman Nick Mangwana said on Twitter.
He did not specify when the tests were conducted, but said the school, which has more than 600 students, "has since been sealed off, with no-one allowed in or out."
Zimbabwe has so far recorded 8,897 cases of coronavirus, including 257 deaths, far fewer than in neighbouring South Africa, which has notched up more than 750,000 cases with 20,314 fatalities.
Closed in March under measures to limit the spread of the virus, Zimbabwean schools have been gradually re-opening since September after new cases began to decline.

Kenya: National IDs to be phased out by December 2021

 

 
Kenya will phase out current national identity cards by December next year, the government announced on Wednesday. Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i said transition from national identity cards to Huduma Namba cards will take 12 months.
Kenyans as well as foreign residents who registered for the Huduma number will in two weeks’ time start receiving text messages informing them on where to pick their cards, marking the beginning of the end for the current national identity cards as we know them.
The Huduma smart card, whose roll out has been dogged by controversies, will in the next 12 months become the single, digital identifier for all Kenyan citizens and resident foreigners when seeking services from public offices.
“The national ID, going forward, is going to be the Huduma card… we have legal issues but once the Huduma Bill is enacted by Parliament the current IDs will be collapsed to the Huduma card,” said the Information and Communications Cabinet Secretary, Joe Mucheru, in an interview Wednesday after launching issuance of the cards in Machakos town.

Trump aide blocks Biden administration from accessing $9.9m in transition funds

 

A Donald Trump aide is refusing to sign paperwork that will pave the way for Joe Biden to receive $9.9m in transition funds he needs to begin as president. Emily Murphy, head of the General Services Administration (GSA), said the election has not yet been decided.
 “An ascertainment has not yet been made,” said Pamela Pennington, a spokeswoman for GSA. “And its Administrator will continue to abide by, and fulfill, all requirements under the law.”
 The GSA is the agency that plays a role in helping to fund newly elected presidents and authorize access to government officials, office space, and equipment.

‘MasterChef Junior’ star Ben Watkins dies at age 14

 

 
Ben Watkins, a fan-favorite from “MasterChef Junior,” died on Monday after an 18-month battle with cancer. He was 14. Watkins was diagnosed with angiomatoid fibrous histiocytoma, an extremely rare form of cancer. The soft tissue tumor most commonly occurs in children and young adults.
His family previously shared he was one of six people in the world to receive such a diagnosis.“After losing both of his parents in September 2017, we have marveled at Ben’s strength, courage and love for life,” the family shared in a statement after his passing.
Watkins lost both of his parents to domestic violence.“He never, ever complained. Ben was and will always be the strongest person we know. When Ben’s rare illness was shared with the world, he was so heartened by the outpouring of love he received from every corner of the globe — especially here in his hometown of Gary, Indiana,” the statement continued.

Manchester city manager, Pep Guardiola, has admitted that Jose Mourinho's side, Tottenham are favorites to win the English Premier league and shouldn't be taken lightly. Pep Guardiola made the comment after Tottenham inflicted a 2-0 win over Manchester City on Saturday November 21.
Since arriving at City in 2016, Guardiola has helped the club win two Premier League titles .
The other two titles were won by Chelsea by seven points in 2016-17 and Liverpool by 18 last season but Guardioal feels this may be the most open title race since his arrival in England.
 City sit 11th in the table, eight points behind league leaders Spurs but have played one less game.

FIFA bans Haiti Football Federation president after finding him guilty of sexually abusing minors and female players

 

 International world football governing body, FIFA, has banned Yves Jean-Bart, the president of the Haiti Football Federation, from all football-related activities and fined him 1m Swiss francs (£827,000) after its ethics committee found him guilty of having abused his position and sexually harassed and abused female players, including minors.
 Jean-Bart, known as “Dadou”, was first accused of coercing several players at the Fifa centre, the Centre Technique National in Croix-des-Bouquets, into having sex with him in an investigation carried out.
Then numerous sources involved with the centre, including alleged victims and their families came out and made more allegations.

US Senate leader Mitch McConnell backs Trump and refuses to acknowledge Joe Biden's win

 

 In another escalation of the post-electoral dilemma occuring in the White House, the United States Senate Majority Leader, Mitch McConnell, has suggested that the presidential election has not yet been decided saying President Trump could still be the winner.
 Major US news organizations projected Biden won the presidential election on Saturday but Biden's transition process has been stalled by US President Donald Trump's refusal to concede.
 The electoral body responsible for elections hasn't yet determined a winner of the election, as legal challenges from the Trump Administration has stalled that process.

Jerry Rawlings: Ghana's ex-president dies aged 73

Ghana's former President Jerry John Rawlings has died at the age of 73. He led two coups, first in 1979, before twice being elected president in multiparty polls. A charismatic figure, he first seized power railing against corruption and was responsible for executing several former heads of state for their alleged graft and mismanagement.
He was also seen as a champion of the poor, but came to be criticised for alleged human rights abuses. He died in hospital in the capital, Accra, after a short illness.
A week of national mourning has been announced in Ghana for the country's longest-serving leader, who oversaw the transition to multiparty elections in what is now one of Africa's most stable democracies.
John Mahama, presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), founded by Rawlings, has announced that he is suspending campaigning for next month's elections.

Scotland becomes first part of UK to ban smacking of children

 

Scotland has become the first part of the UK to ban the smacking of children after new legislation came into effect. Changes to the law giving children the same protection from assault as adults were passed by the Scottish parliament last year and take effect from Saturday.
Scotland becomes the 58th country to outlaw corporal punishment after the defence of justifiable assault was removed from Scots law.
It is the first part of the UK to do so, with Wales expected to follow suit with the introduction of a ban by 2022.
Scottish Green MSP John Finnie, who introduced the changes, said he hoped the smacking ban would help demonstrate to children that violence is not acceptable.

Hong Kong’s pro-democracy legislators to resign en masse

 

Hong Kong’s pro-democracy legislators have said they will resign from the legislature en masse after the city’s government disqualified four opposition members of the chamber on allegations of endangering national security.
The pro-democracy camp announced their decision in a news conference on Wednesday.
“Today we will resign from our positions, because our partners, our colleagues have been disqualified by the central government’s ruthless move,” said Wu Chi-wai, convener of the pro-democracy camp.
“Although we are facing a lot of difficulties in the coming future for the fight of democracy, we will never, never give up,” he said.

Juventus set to part ways with Ronaldo

 

 
Italian giants, Juventus are considering cutting ties with forward Cristiano Ronaldo next summer. This is owing to fears that his huge pay is no longer affordable by the club. Ronaldo joined Juventus from Real Madrid in 2018 in a deal worth €100 million and signed a contract that sees him earn a whopping €31m per season at the Italian side.
A local source reports that Juventus don’t intend to extend Ronaldo’s contract, which expires in 2022, and they will instead make him available for transfer this summer in an attempt to claw back some of the money they have spent on him. Club officials in Juventus also fear Ronaldo has not really justified his high wage with the club even though he scored 37 goals in all competitions last season. Officials believe the club has not gotten to the next level with him.

Ethiopia's Tigray crisis: 'Civilians massacred', says Amnesty International

 

 
"Scores and probably hundreds" of civilians have been massacred in the growing conflict in Tigray in northern Ethiopia, Amnesty International says. Witnesses blamed forces loyal to the Tigray People's Liberation Front (TPLF) for Monday's killings but Tigrayan officials have denied that pro-TPLF troops were involved.
Fighting between government forces and the TPLF broke out last week. Getting information is hard, with phone lines and the internet down.
This would be the first large-scale killing of civilians in the conflict.
There has been long-standing tension between Ethiopia's government and the TPLF, which controls Tigray, the country's northernmost state, and it has boiled over into military clashes, including air strikes by federal forces.
As a result, thousands of civilians have crossed the border into Sudan, which says it will shelter them in a refugee camp.

'An Ohio wedding left dozens with the coronavirus, including the bride and groom: ‘It starts to take a toll on you’

 

When Mikayla Bishop began walking down the aisle in October, the bride immediately noticed that even though she had provided masks, almost no one was wearing one.
“I’m walking down the aisle,” she told WLWT this week. “We can’t do anything now.”
Now, more than two weeks later, she said, 32 of the 83 guests at her Cincinnati-area wedding have tested positive for the coronavirus, including three of the couples’ grandparents. Bishop and her husband, Anthony, also contracted the virus, she told the TV station.
Even with the lack of masks and the warnings from experts about the dangers of large indoor gatherings like their wedding, she said the couple was shocked by the fallout.

Google Photos abandons unlimited uploads amid storage changes

 

 
Google Photos will no longer offer unlimited free photo storage, in a move that will affect storage for other Google products including email. The company's photo storage launched in 2015, promising unlimited uploads. But Google now says it will limit that to the same 15GB of storage per account that is shared by its popular apps like Gmail and Google Drive.
Anyone wishing to store more than that will have to pay for one of the company's storage plans.
The change could mean that users who continue to upload many photos will run out of space for emails faster.

US election security officials reject Trump's fraud claims

 

 
US election officials have said the 2020 White House vote was the "most secure in American history", rejecting President Donald Trump's fraud claims.
"There is no evidence that any voting system deleted or lost votes, changed votes, or was in any way compromised," a committee announced.
They spoke out after Mr Trump claimed without proof that 2.7 million votes for him had been "deleted".
He has yet to concede to the president-elect, Democrat Joe Biden.
The result of the 3 November election was projected by all the major US TV networks last weekend.

Pfizer vaccine 95% effective in final analysis, plans to seek emergency authorization 'within days'

 

Pfizer and partner BioNTech announced their coronavirus vaccine is more than 95% effective in the final analysis of its massive Phase 3 trial on Wednesday, and has reached a key safety milestone that will allow the company to apply for Food and Drug Administration authorization “within days.”
If the FDA gives the vaccine the green light, Pfizer will likely make history as the first company with an FDA-authorized COVID-19 vaccine. It has plans to start delivering millions of doses of the potentially lifesaving vaccine to the most vulnerable overnight once the government gives a green light, possibly before the end of 2020, the company said.

Several injured in explosion at Saudi Armistice Day event

 

 Several people have been wounded in an explosion in the Saudi Arabian city of Jeddah during a ceremony to commemorate the end of the first world war attended by staff from foreign diplomatic missions, officials have said.
“The embassies involved condemn this cowardly attack, which is wholly unjustified,” the French foreign ministry said. “They call on the Saudi authorities to shed as much light as they can on this attack, and to identify and hunt down the perpetrators.”
A Greek government official told Reuters that an explosive device had gone off at a ceremony at a non-Muslim cemetery in Jeddah. Four people had been slightly injured, the official said, including a Greek national.

Couple using same lottery numbers for 26 years wins jackpot

 

 
Persistence has paid off for a couple in North Carolina. The husband and wife who have been playing the same set of lottery numbers for 26 years won more than $366,000 this week.
Terry Coggeshall claimed the prize Thursday at the headquarters of the North Carolina Education Lottery in Raleigh. He said the lucky numbers had gotten him and his wife close to winning a few times, but they never thought they would take home the Cash 5 jackpot.
"I was in the La-Z-Boy as she was standing there watching," Coggeshall, of Durham, said. "And she started screaming. She goes, 'I won, I won!' And I go, 'What?!'"
The odds of winning were 1 in 962,598. Coggeshall, a delivery coordinator, bought the winning ticket at a grocery store in Chapel Hill.
Coggeshall said the couple started playing the same set of numbers when they lived in Florida. After required federal and state tax withholdings, they are $259,425 richer.
"We never really thought that we'd get all of that," he said. "I can't wait to see my wife's face when she looks at the check."
