The White House has confirmed that the Islamic State deputy leader, Fadhil Ahmad al-Hayali, also known as Hajji Mutazz, has been killed in a US drone strike in Iraq. The terror chief was said to have been killed while traveling in a car near Mosul, Iraq, along with an ISIL media operative known as Abu Abdullah, following a tip from intelligence source.
White House spokesman Ned Price said in a statement, "Al-Hayali's death will adversely impact ISIL's operations given that his influence spanned ISIL's finance, media, operations, and logistics,"
Mutazz was ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Bagdadi’s deputy and prominently involved in directing financial operations for the terror group and primary coordinator for moving large amounts of weapons, explosives, vehicles and people between Iraq and Syria
