Two Atlanta brothers Cameron Ervin, 17, and Christopher Ervin, 22, almost killed their parents by beating them, with the intention of setting the family home on fire after, police said. Their mother, Yvonne Ervin called 911 from the family home in Snellville to alert the police that “her sons were trying to kill her and her husband,” Gwinnett County Police Sgt. Rich Long told WSB-TV. Police arrived and the brothers were still at the scene. Zachary Ervin, their father, was “severely injured and bleeding heavily,” and his wife was “seriously injured,” Long said.

Both brothers now face two felony counts of aggravated assault and two counts of arson in the first degree, according to county inmate records. They’re not eligible for bond.
Clint Miller, a neighbor of the family was asked about the situation and says that he’s shocked: This is all so sad and it just goes to prove that you never know what’s going on with ‘picture perfect’ families.
