Brothers aged nine and 10 take their father's car for a joyride and crash it into a wall

The two boys crashed the car into a wall just 50-yards away
Two brothers decided to take their father's car for a joyride and were lucky to escape unhurt after smashing the vehicle into a garden wall near their home in Wolverhampton.
The mischievous young troublemakers, aged nine and ten, only managed to drive 50 yards down the road from their home in Tettenhall Wood before coming off the road.
Police and rescue services were called to the scene at 6am on Friday. One of the boys was treated by medical staff but it is not thought to have been seriously injured.
It is believed the older boy got behind the wheel of the blue Vauxhall estate while his younger brother was in the passenger seat.
The car veered off the road, hitting a low brick wall and ended up in the front garden of a nearby house.
A resident said: 'I heard the car revving and then hitting the wall. The older boy was sitting in the driver's seat and he was in pain, holding his stomach and ribs.
'I recognised him and guessed what had happened,' the resident said
'His younger brother was out of the car and ran back home in tears. I did not try to move the older boy since I did not know how serious it was but by the time,' the resident added.
'I had dashed back into my house to phone the ambulance he was out of the car as well.
'He was also crying. I assume they had been wearing seat belts or else I imagine the injuries would have been more serious,' they said.
The injured boy was treated by paramedics at the scene but was not believed to be badly hurt.
The car was badly damaged and had to be towed back to his home by the brothers' father.
A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: 'We responded to an incident in which a car had collided with a wall in Kinfare Drive shortly before 6am.'
