Drug smuggler jailed after trying to sneak 25,000 ecstasy tablets into Britain inside neck pillow

Nicatia, 22, was caught trying to smuggle ecstasy tablets into the UK
Dutch national Hesus Ramon Nicatia, 22, was stopped by UK Border Force officials after trying to sneak about 25,000 ecstasy tablets into the UK inside a neck pillow. Officers noticed the pillow was suspiciously heavy and after X-raying the cushion, found thousands of MDMA pills inside. Further packages of tablets were also found inside his luggage - with the total drugs stash worth around £200,000, the Mirror reports.
Nicatia was jailed after pleading guilty to importing Class A drugs at Hull Crown Court.
Paul Tallentire, operations manager for the NCA’s border investigation team, said: “Nicatia attempted to smuggle around 25,000 tablets into the UK, which would have had a potential street value of approximately £200,000.
“Despite his deliberate efforts to evade detection, working with our Border Force colleagues we have successfully prevented these class A drugs making it onto the UK streets and nightclubs.
“We are determined to do all we can to disrupt and stop drug traffickers and the organised criminal networks involved in this illegal trade.”
