A 52-year-old man survived an 80m plunge off a bridge on the N2 in KwaZulu-Natal after he lost control of his car on Monday morning, paramedics said. He was reported to have veered off the bridge over the Nonoti River. Police search and rescue teams struggled to get to the man, who was trapped in his car. He was afterwards airlifted to Albert Luthuli Hospital in Durban.
