A mother-of-two had a large chunk of her cheek bitten off by another woman at a mutual friend's house party. Kate Nield was attacked visciously at the home in Southport, Merseyside, and had to undergo plastic surgery to repair some of the damage. The attacker was said to have become more aggressive as she drank at the party and was asked to leave.
She then returned to the house and launched a violent tirade at Ms Nield, biting her face.
The 26-year-old was taken to Southport Hospital immediately after the incident. The support worker had skin taken from the back of her arm and was put onto the damaged part of her face, near her lips.
Speaking of the incident, which took place on Thursday night, Ms Nield told the Liverpool Echo: 'She was like a raving lunatic. She bit me and took a big chunk out of my face. There was blood everywhere.
'It is the sort of thing that only an animal would do. I just want everyone to know what an animal she is and that she can't get away with doing that to somebody.'
