Man sets himself on fire inside bank because the line was too long

A man in Australia, caused millions of dollars in damages to a bank after setting himself on fire because the line was too long. 22-year-old Nur Islam of Melbourne, was waiting in line at the Commonwealth Bank in Springvale. According to police, Islam from Myanmar, who is in the country illegally, wanted to withdraw $442 from his account. After waiting for a long time, Islam became agitated because there were still many people ahead of him in line.
Surveillance video showed Islam walking to a nearby gas station. According to police, he bought gasoline for $14.71. The video shows Islam walking into the bank with the gas can. He spilled some of the gas at the entrance of the bank. People quickly fled in panic. Islam then took out a lighter and set himself on fire.  The fire spread and burned the bank down. At the time the fire, 14 employees and 23 customers were inside the bank. 26 people were treated for burns, police said.
Islam survived. According to his attorney, Islam spent four months in the hospital with burns to 60 percent of his body. After being released from the hospital, Islam was arrested.  He is set to stand on trial for 108 charges that include intentional arson, causing serious injury and property damage. The court heard that the bank was destroyed, causing close to $3 million in damages. Islam told the court that he did not intend to hurt anyone.
