A man seemed to be unable to let go of his first love as he kept her unopened gift for 47 years. Adrian Pearce, 64, from Canada, who is now married and has children of his own, said that he kept the gift he received from his ex-girlfriend almost five decades ago. He placed the gift under his Christmas tree every year for many years but he never opened it. Pearce said that his children urged him to open it but he never did.
Instead, he put it away and took it out once a year until his wife had enough and she did not want to see it anymore. Pearce never opened the wrapped gift package. Pearce explained that Back in 1970 when he was 17-years-old, he dated a girl named Vicki from George S. Henry Secondary School in Don Mills in suburban Toronto.
He was looking forward to spending time with Vicki, who was 16, during Christmas vacation, but the girl had other plans. Pearce received the wrapped gift from his girlfriend whom he loved but she dumped him immediately after handing it to him. Pearce was too upset over the breakup to open the package. He kept it all these years and he still hopes to reunite with her. The love struck man said that if he can locate the woman, he may open the gift with her on the 50th anniversary of receiving it.
