Manchester City winger Leroy Sane has been named as the PFA Young Player of the Year for the 2017/18 season

Sane, 22, joined City in the summer of 2016 and after a strong start to his career in England last season he has kicked on to a new level. He beat Harry Kane and team-mate Raheem Sterling to the award. He has scored nine times in the league and registered 12 assists to help City lift their first Premier League title under Pep Guardiola. The winger has formed a key part of the City attack along with Sterling, Kevin De Bruyne and Sergio Aguero. Sane has also become a key part of the German national team set-up.
