Husband of Trump’s accuser Stormy Daniels seeks divorce, accuses her of adultery
The husband of Stormy Daniels, the porn star at the centre of a public row with US President Donald Trump over their alleged sexual encounter a decade ago, has filed for divorce in Texas. Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, has repeatedly said that she had sex with Donald Trump in 2006 before he became president, but Trump denied her claims.
Glendon Crain, a heavy metal drummer and also a porn star who married Daniels in 2015, filed the petition for divorce on July 18 in state district court in Kaufman County, located just southeast of Dallas. In his 13-page divorce petition filed July 18, Crain alleged adultery as grounds for the divorce and seeks sole custody of the couple's 7-year-old daughter and child support from Clifford, as well as a financial award and disproportionate share of the couple's community property, according to WJLA.
According to Crain's petition, the couple married on November 25, 2015. On July 11, 2018, they stopped living together as spouses, according to the document.
"Marriage has become unbearable because of the discord or conflict of personalities," reads the petition filed on July 18.
"The Respondent has committed adultery," added Crain of Daniels, without going into detail.
Ms. Clifford's lawyer Michael Avenatti said in a tweet that: ' My client Stormy Daniels and her husband Glen have decided to end their marriage. A petition for divorce was filed last week, the accuracy of which is vehemently disputed. Stormy’s daughter remains her number one priority. She kindly asks for privacy for the sake of her family.'
