Kids fire shot in crowded store after finding gun in couch at IKEA

Two children caused panic between shoppers after firing a shot with a gun they found inside IKEA. Police were called to the store in Fishers, Indiana, to investigate the shooting. The incident occurred at around 2:00 p.m., at the IKEA located at 11400 IKEA Way, when one of the children pulled the trigger and fired one shot, but thankfully, the bullet did not hit anyone.
After questioning the children, police said they found the gun that was left unattended on a couch inside the IKEA store. Sgt. Tom Weger with Fisher Police Department said that officers found the gun owner.
He told police that he has been sitting on that couch earlier and he had no idea that his gun slipped from his waist. The gun landed between the couch’s cushions and was the found by the kids.
So far, no charges have been filed in the case.
