Man.U captain Antonio Valencia apologises for liking an Instagram post calling for his coach Jose Mourinho to be fired.
Manchester United captain Antonio Valencia has been forced to apologise for liking an Instagram post calling for manager, Jose Mourinho to be sacked.
After Man.U drew with Valencia during their Champions League clash on Tuesday night, The Valencia fan account, teamvalencia25 describes watching United play under Mourinho as a form of 'punishment' before suggesting that his position as manager has now become untenable.
'I'm not even surprised about the outcome of this game. I always look forward to out games but recently Mourinho has made watching us a punishment. Something needs to change. It's time for Mourinho to go.'
The United skipper who many say his relationship with the Portuguese coach has allegedly collapsed liked the post.
On Wednesday morning, Valencia took to Twitter to say he liked the post without reading the caption and also apologised for doing so.
a'Yesterday, I liked a post on Instagram without reading the text that accompanied the picture,' he wrote.
'These are not my views and I apologise for this. I am fully supportive of the manager and my team-mates. We are all giving our everything to improve the results.'
