Camel driver arrested for helping photographer have sex on top of Great Pyramid

A camel driver has been arrested for helping a Danish couple take a photograph of themselves having sex on the top of the Great Pyramid. A woman was also arrested for putting the man in contact with photographer Andreas Hvid, 23, who posted a video of himself scaling the 4,500-year-old tomb on November 29. A photograph also released by Hvid appeared to show the pair in the missionary position overlooking the city.

Egyptian authorities said those who were arrested had acknowledged their role in the incident and would be put on trial. The pair allegedly paid the camel driver 4,000 Egyptian pounds (£177) to take them to the site illegally.
Hvid explained to the Danish newspaper Ekstra Bladet that he had ‘dreamed for many years of climbing the Great Pyramid’ and taking a naked photograph. The YouTuber also said the woman in the video was not his girlfriend. He said: ‘It was just a pose. We did not have sexual relations.’
The Great Pyramid is the largest in Giza, standing 146 metres (480ft) tall, and the only surviving structure of the seven wonders of the ancient world. It is illegal to climb above a certain height on the pyramids after 5pm. In 2016, a German tourist was barred from entering the country for life after he posted online footage of climbing one of the ancient structures.
