English singer-songwriter, Fleur East has spoken about meeting with Prince Charles two weeks ago before he tested positive for COVID-19. Appearing on The One Show on Wednesday, the 32-year-old singer recalled how she met the Prince Of Wales at the Prince's Trust Awards earlier this month as said he kept forgetting that hand-shaking was not allowed.
Speaking to the hosts of the show Alex Jones and Patrick Kielty, Fleur said: 'It was 14 days ago, so I’m safe. 14 days is the clear window.'
'He just kept forgetting to not shake people’s hands. He kept reaching out.'
She added: 'I didn't know how to greet a royal full stop; let alone in these times!'
On Wednesday morning, Clarence House confirmed that Prince Charles had tested positive for coronavirus.
A Clarence House spokesman said he was "displaying mild symptoms but otherwise remains in good health and has been working from home throughout the last few days as usual".
