Piers Morgan slams 'utterly ridiculous' Novak Djokovic as he tests positive for coronavirus after hosting tennis tournament

Controversial journalist, Piers Morgan has slammed Novak Djokovic for hosting a tennis tournament and clubbing during his Adria Tour which took place in Serbia and Croatia amid the Coronavirus pandemic.  The World No 1 and his wife Jelena tested positive for COVID-19 and as well as four other players who took part in the tournament. A pregnant wife of one of his friends also tested positive for the killer disease.
Djokovic who has come under intense fire for organising the tennis tournament during the COVID-19 pandemic, has since apologised for holding the event.

"Everything we did in the past month, we did with a pure heart and sincere intentions," the Serbian said in a statement.
"Our tournament was meant to unite and share a message of solidarity and compassion throughout the region.
“The Tour was designed to help both established and up-and-coming tennis players from south-eastern Europe to gain access to some competitive tennis while the various tours are on hold due to the Covid-19 situation.
"It was all born with a philanthropic idea, to direct all raised funds towards people in need, and it warmed my heart to see how everybody strongly responded to this.
“I am extremely sorry for each individual case of infection. I hope that it will not complicate anyone’s health situation and that every will be fine.
Speaking on Good Morning Britain today, Piers fumed: "One of the infected people is the pregnant wife of his close friend - the Serbian player - Viktor Troicki.
"I mean that's, you know, to have caused a situation where one of your best friends wives is pregnant and gets infected with the virus.
"It was so reckless. Some of the scenes - the partying scenes - let us look at this."
Piers then showed an image of the tennis players and their wives/ girlfriends in a club, doing the limbo and dancing under blue neon lights.
He continued: "I mean that is utterly ridiculous. For the world's best tennis player to be basically putting on this kind of thing in the middle of the pandemic."
When co-host Susanna commented on the issue, saying: "Well presumably they were doing it under the guidance in Serbia."
Piers raged: "Well there is no guidance that allows them to do this."
