Former Liverpool striker, Djibril Cisse has signed for American fourth-tier side Panathinaikos Chicago at the age of 39. The French striker has been without a club since leaving Swiss Division Three outfit Yverdon Sports.
But PAO Chicago announced the signing of the former Liverpool striker, the 13th club of his career, by posting on Twitter: 'Once Green, Always Green.'
The club was founded by Dimitrios Chronopoulos and his son Denny, who are supporters of Greek outfit and namesake Panathinaikos, based in Athens, Greece.
Cisse played for Greek giants Panathinaikos between 2009-11 after leaving Marseille. He scored an impressive 47 goals in just 61 games during his time with the Greeks.
The 39-year-old who started his career with Auxerre in France also played for Liverpool, Sunderland, Lazio, Queens Park Rangers, Al-Gharafa, Kuban Krasnodar, Bastia, Saint-Pierroise, Yverdon and AC Vicenza 1902.
