77 tourists arrested in Cambodia for ‘pornographic dancing’


Police in Cambodia have released photos of 10 tourists who are being detained for what they called “pornographic dancing.” Siem Reap police officers arrived at a villa during a barbecue party, where they arrested 77 tourists. According to Lieutenant General Chea Heng, Chief of General Chuan Dai People’s Protection and Minority Protection, all of the 77 participants at the party were initially arrested. However, most of them were released and deported.
The 10 people who were accused of being the organizers of the party were detained, according to the prosecutor of the Siem Reap Provincial Court. Police also released photos from the party, showing men, some of whom were shirtless, lying on the floor as women were on top of them. The 10 organizers who are being held in custody said that none of them are seen in the photos with the women. If they are found guilty, the group could face a year in prison. Police identified the tourists who are in custody.
5 men from Britain are Vincent Harley Robert Hook, 35, Paul Francis Harris, 32, Daniel Richard Leeming Jones, 30, Thomas Alexander Jeffries, 22, and Billy Stevens, 21.
The women in the group who were identified as Canadian citizens are Jessica Drolet of Ottawa, 25, and Edensaran ‘Eden’ Kazoleas, 20, of Alberta.
The others were identified as Paul Martin Brasch, 32, of New Zealand, Job Robertus van der Wel, 22, of the Netherlands, and David Nikolaus Aleksandr Ballovarre, 22, of Oslo, Norway.
