Plane carrying 84 plumbers forced to make emergency landing to fix problem with toilets
A pilot was forced to make an emergency landing after the bathrooms on the plane stopped working. The airplane took off in Oslo, Norway, and was headed to Munich, Germany, when it made the emergency landing. Just 20 minutes into the trip, Flight number DY1156 returned to Oslo due to a technical issue with the toilets. Ironically, 84 of the passengers on the Norwegian flight were plumbers.
The tradesman were on a company trip but were unable to fix the problem because it had to be fixed from outside the aircraft.
“We would have liked to fix the restrooms, but could not send a plumber out at 10,000 meters,” said the plumbing company chief executive Frank Olsen.
It took about 3-and-a-half hours for the plane to take off again.
