A man is dead after he accidentally shot himself in the head, according to police in Florida. 26-year-old Dalton Kincaid died after a shooting in a Deltona home on Saturday at about 5:45 p.m., according to the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office. Witnesses who called police said that a roommate had just returned home from a gun range, where he used a firearm before giving him problems.
The gun owner complained to his roommates about the problem he was having with his gun. He then placed the gun on the kitchen counter and Kincaid took it for an inspection. The gun owner said that when he turned to open the refrigerator, he heard a gunshot. Three people were in the house at the time of the shooting. Everyone came to the victim’s aid and called 911 for help.
Kincaid, who suffered a gunshot wound in the head, died moments later. Investigators at the scene said the shooting appeared to be accidental.
