They specialise in recreating entry styles of famous wrestlers such as Reman Reigns. The boys caught public attention after they perfectly recreated the famous entry of Roman Reigns in a video they shared on TikTok and which later went viral. After the TikTok video went viral, the boys attracted the attention of the WWE and Roman Reings.

89-year-old farmer who killed his wife and hid her body for 37 years has been jailed for 18 years

 

 
A pig farmer who murdered his wife and hid her body for 37 years has been sentenced to 18 years in jail.  89-year-old David Venables killed his spouse Brenda in May 1982 and then dumped her body in the underground septic tank at their farm in Kempsey, Worcestershire.
Mrs Venables’s skull and other bones were discovered during work to empty the underground chamber on July 12, 2019, six years after Venables had sold the property for more than £460,000 to his nephew.
 During his trial, Worcester Crown Court heard how the retired farmer killed his wife because he wanted her "out of the way" after he rekindled an affair with another woman.

Two former cops convicted in George Floyd's death sentenced to jail

 

 Two former police officers convicted in the death of George Floyd have both been sentenced to prison terms.
 Former Minneapolis police officers J. Alexander Kueng and Tou Thao were sentenced Wednesday, July 27, by U.S. District Court Judge Paul Magnuson.
Magnuson, who noted that Kueng was a rookie cop at the time of Floyd's death, sentenced him to serve three years in federal prison, followed by two years of supervised release, according to St. Paul ABC affiliate KSTP.

Dad sentenced to jail for leaving daughter to drown while he browsed Facebook

 

 A father has been jailed after he left his daughter in the bath for 7 minutes while he smoked and browsed Facebook. Leah Jayde drowned in the bath on April 2, 2021, after her dad Daniel James Gallagher, 26, left her alone in the water with the taps still running.
Leah's death came just days after a near tragedy when Gallagher had left her alone in 10-12 centimetres of water at their home in Queensland, Australia, The Sun reports.
 Gallagher has now been handed a five-year sentence, which will be suspended after 15 months, after pleading guilty to Leah's manslaughter.
Gallagher initially left Leah in order to deal with an electrical issue at the property, the Brisbane Supreme Court heard.

 Luis Suarez has confirmed he has reached an agreement to make a sensational return to former club Nacional in Uruguay.
 The former Liverpool and Barcelona striker was a free agent after he left LaLiga side Atletico Madrid in the summer.
After days of speculation and pleading from Nacional fans, the Uruguayan international decided that he would go play at the club where he started his professional career.
 On Tuesday, Suárez shared a video with all his followers about his decision to join the club.
“First of all, I wanted to thank you for the love that both I and my family have received in recent days, which has been impressive, all the messages that have reached us. That touched our hearts in this situation that we had to decide and well, it was inevitable to accept this opportunity to have the possibility of playing again in Nacional and we have a pre-agreement with the club”, he said.

WHO declares monkeypox global health emergency after spreading to more than 70 countries

 

 The World Health Organisation (WHO) has declared the monkeypox outbreak to be a global health emergency following its 'extraordinary' spread to more than 70 countries.
 WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus made the decision to issue the declaration despite a lack of consensus among experts serving on the U.N. health agency's emergency committee.
It was the first time the chief of the U.N. health agency has taken such an action.
 'We have an outbreak that has spread around the world rapidly through new modes of transmission about which we understand too little and which meets the criteria in the international health regulations,' Tedros said.

 Disturbing pictures from the capital city of Accra in Ghana show huge piles of wet garments strewn over the sand, with many of these thought to have been imported from Britain and other western nations.
 According to environmental sustainability charity WRAP, up to 70 per cent of the UK's waste clothes from retail and donation are sent abroad, with only the United States exporting more worldwide. The charity pointed out that most of the clothes sent to West Africa from the UK and America cannot be resold as a result of their poor condition and these clothes end up being a major contributor to pollution.

Scammers arrested after livestreaming fake IPL from farmer's field to con gamblers in Russia

A fake version of cricket's Indian Premier League - set up to con gamblers in Russia - has been broken up after police arrested the gang behind it.
The elaborate hoax saw the conmen hire a farmer's field in Gujarat and set up cameras to film the bogus games. According to reports, labourers and local unemployed people were hired to masquerade as players and created fake team names, with the players wearing official IPL kits.
The games were then streamed live on YouTube to unsuspecting betting operations in Russia.
The Times of India reported that a local man who could do a good impersonation of commentator Harsha Bhogle was brought in to add authenticity to the footage.

 Nigerian Tobi Amusan broke the women’s 100m hurdles world record in the semifinals at the world track and field championships in Eugene, Oregon. She went even faster to win the final nearly two hours later.
Amusan, who was fourth at the Tokyo Olympics and the last worlds in 2019, clocked 12.12 seconds in Sunday’s semifinals at Hayward Field. In the final, she won in 12.06, but with too much tailwind for record purposes.

Russia-Ukraine war: Europe agrees to emergency gas cuts as Russia cuts supply by 20%

 

 European Union countries bracing for further cuts in Russian gas supply approved an emergency plan to curb demand of gas on Tuesday , July 26.
Russia state owned gas company, Gazprom (GAZP.MM) said it would cut flows through the Nord Stream 1 pipeline to Germany to 20 percent starting from Wednesday as Europe faces an increased gas squeeze as winter approaches.
With a dozen EU countries already facing lower Russian supplies, the EU is urging member states to save gas and store it for winter for fear Russia will completely cut off flows in retaliation for Western sanctions over Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

Italian parliament dissolved, paving way for early elections

 


Italian Premier Mario Draghi resigned Thursday after his ruling coalition fell apart, and the country’s president dissolved Parliament, which paves the way for new elections although no date was set.
The moves dealt a destabilizing blow to Italy and Europe at a time of inflation and economic uncertainty brought on by the coronavirus pandemic and Russia’s war in Ukraine.
President Sergio Mattarella said the new election must be held within 70 days under Italy’s Constitution. He said he took the step because the lack of support for Draghi also indicated there was “no possibility” of forming another government that could carry a majority of lawmakers.
Parliament’s five-year term would have expired in March 2023.

 A group of people in the Indian city of Gorakhpur organised a wedding between two frogs to bring forth rain after months of no rain brought on intense heat.
 The group found two frogs yesterday, July 19, and performed a ritual to please the rain god Lord Indra.
They forced the frogs to marry each other as part of the rituals despite struggling to keep the newly-wed couple together. It was a lavish ceremony and hundreds turned out to watch the event, which involved a group of priests chanting as well as a big celebration meal afterwards.

Former Manchester United striker, Jesse Lingard has signed a bumper contract approaching £200,000 a week with newly-promoted club Nottingham Forest after leaving Manchester United this summer.
 The England international, who left Manchester United after 22 years, rejected a move to West Ham to sign for Forest after passing a medical on Wednesday, and could make his debut in the friendly with Union Berlin in Germany on Saturday, July 23.
Lingard signed an initial 12-month deal. The 29-year-old took to his Twitter handle on Thursday evening, July 21 to confirm the move.

Netflix loses 970K Subscribers in 4 months, performing better than its expectations of a 2 million loss

 

 Streaming giant, Netflix say they have lost 970,000 subscribers in the last quarter, a good result for the company who predicted to lose 2 million subscribers.
The news comes as Netflix's stock  tumbled more than 65 percent in the past year following customer dissatisfaction over high subscription costs and also spring up of other cheaper streaming services like Disney+, Hulu, Amazon Prime and HBO.
During the first quarter, when Netflix lost 200,000 subscribers and spurred Wall Street and Hollywood to reevaluate the economics of the streaming business, the company warned that it expected to lose an additional 2 million subscribers during Q2. Though the quarter still ended with a net loss in subscribers, the streaming giant is projecting it will add 1 million subscribers in Q3.

Wickremesinghe who was a six-time former prime minister and key ally of former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa won a parliamentary ballot after his predecessor fled the country following protests over an economic crisis .
Wickremesinghe received 134 votes from a possible 223.

NBA star, Miles Bridges charged with three felonies after allegedly beating his children's mother in front of them

 

 NBA star and Charlotte Hornets forward, Miles Bridges has been charged with felony domestic and child abuse stemming from an alleged assault on his partner that happened in front of their children.
 Bridges, 24, faces one felony count of injuring a child's parent and two felony counts of child abuse under circumstances or conditions likely to cause great bodily injury or death, the Los Angeles District Attorney's office said in a statement.
Bridges allegedly assaulted his girlfriend on or about June 27 and 28 in front of their two children, according to the DA's statement, which cited a criminal complaint on the matter.

 Mesut Ozil has been announced as an Istanbul Basaksehir player just 29 minutes after having his Fenerbahce contract ripped up. The former Arsenal star, 33, only joined Fenerbahce 18 months ago but had his contract ripped up on Wednesday.
Basaksehir, who finished fourth last season eight points behind second-placed Fenerbahce teased Ozil's arrival on Twitter.

Raheem Sterling joins Chelsea on 5 year deal

 

 England football star, Raheem Sterling has joined Chelsea from Manchester City on a five-year contract. Sterling has been one of City’s key performers over the past seven seasons, hitting double figures for goals in each of those campaigns and claiming nine major honours, including four Premier League titles.
The 27-year-old is one of only eight players to have scored 80 or more Premier League goals, averaging 22 in all competitions across the past five seasons, as well as an average of 10 assists per term over the same period.

Sadio Mane named African Footballer Of The Year ahead of Liverpool and Chelsea stars

 

 Sadio Mane has become the 10th player to win the African Footballer of the Year award more than once. The Senegal captain was announced as the 2022 winner at the Confederation of African Football's awards ceremony in Rabat, Morocco on Thursday.
Mane was in Morocco to collect his award in person, less than 24 hours after making his Bayern debut in the United States.
Mane topped the vote ahead of former Liverpool teammate Mo Salah and Chelsea's Senegalese goalkeeper Edouard Mendy.
Salah was the standout player in England's Premier League last season, winning the Golden Boot with 23 goals and topping the assists chart with 13.

 Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has signed a new contract with AC Milan that ties him to the Serie A champions until next year. Zlatan who turns 41 in just three months has defied the odds to still play at the top level and helped AC Milan win the serie A title last season.
According to Sky Sports reporter Gianluca Di Marzio and Fabrizio Romano, Ibrahimovic has officially put pen to paper on a new deal with Milan and is expected to bag £15,000 per week with the Rossoneri, a far cry from the £250,000 weekly salary he earned at his epak with Manchester United.
“Zlatan Ibrahimovic has just signed his new official contract with AC Milan until June 2023.

Shakhtar Donetsk demand £43m in damages from FIFA following Russia's invasion of Ukraine

 

 
Ukrainian football club, Shakhtar Donetsk have demanded that they receive €50million (£43million) worth of damages from FIFA for lost transfer fees following Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
 Last month, the governing body ruled that foreign players and coaches in Ukraine can suspend their contracts with clubs until 30 June 2023, in light of Russia's invasion of the country.
13-time Ukrainian champions Shakhtar believe they have missed out on significant revenue as a result and have appealed against the ruling in the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).
 The club had 14 foreign players in the squad before Russia's invasion and planned to sell them to help cover their losses which have stacked up since fighting started in late February.
However, FIFA's ruling in June means that these players are able to join new clubs without Shakhtar receiving any compensation.

 Borussia Dortmund have confirmed that new striker Sebastien Haller has been diagnosed with testicular cancer after falling 'unwell' in training on Monday, July 18.
The Ivorian striker arrived at the Bundesliga club earlier this month after completing his move from Ajax for £31m.
Dortmund has now released a statement providing an update on Haller's condition.  'Borussia Dortmund striker Sebastien Haller had to leave the BVB training camp in Bad Ragaz, Switzerland early due to illness and has already travelled back to Dortmund,' the statement read.

 In yet another example of unprecedented problems created by the woke culture in the west, a transwoman had to shifted from a women’s prison in the United States of America because ‘she’ had impregnated two woman lodged in the same jail. The incident happened at Edna Mahan Correctional Facility for Women in New Jersey, where the jail authorities confirmed that the prisoner has been shifted to a prison meant for men.
While the jail authorities didn’t reveal the reason behind shifting a ‘transwoman’ to a men’s jail, the same prisoner had come into limelight earlier this year for making two women pregnant. In April 2022, it was found that two women incarcerated at Edna Mahan Correctional Facility — the state’s only female prison — have become pregnant after having consensual sex with a transgender inmate. The so-called transwoman prisoner is identified as Demi Minor (age 27). The two women ‘she’ bad impregnated are identified as Dimitrius Minor and Latonia Bellamy.

Amazon sues administrators of more than 11,000 Facebook groups that allegedly brokered fake online reviews

 

Amazon (AMZN) said Tuesday it has sued the administrators of more than 11,000 Facebook groups allegedly responsible for facilitating the purchase and sale of fake reviews on Amazon's marketplace in seven countries.
The group operators are accused of recruiting people to write fake or misleading product reviews in exchange for money or free items, Amazon said in a release.
Fake reviews have been a headache for Amazon for years and can lead to consumers buying sub-par or questionable products. But the issue grew much worse during the pandemic, when demand for e-commerce exploded and unscrupulous merchants found new opportunities to use fake reviews to juice their business. The trend has prompted UK regulators to open an investigation into whether Amazon and Google have harmed consumers by failing to sufficiently protect them from fake reviews. Amazon and Google said last year that they would cooperate with the inquiry.

100 million-year-old dinosaur footprints found at restaurant in China

 

  Dinosaur footprints dating back 100 million years have been discovered in southwestern China after a sharp-eyed diner spotted them in a restaurant's outdoor courtyard.
Several stone pits at the restaurant in Leshan, Sichuan province, contained the footprints of two sauropods, a type of dinosaur that lived during the early Cretaceous period, said Lida Xing, a paleontologist and associate professor at the China University of Geosciences.
Xing's team confirmed the discovery on Saturday using a 3D scanner.
Sauropods, known for their long necks and tails, were the largest animals ever to walk the Earth. They could grow to the length of three school buses and were so heavy the ground must have shaken as they walked.

UK temperature reaches 40 degrees for first time as European countries battle massive wildfires in record heatwave

 

 Firefighters in southwestern France, Southern and western Germany and Belgium battled on Tuesday, July 19 to contain massive forest wildfires while the UK recorded its highest ever temperature of 40 degrees in record heatwave.
The temperature of more than 40C (104F) was provisionally recorded on Tuesday for the first time ever in Britain, the Met Office said.
Scientists have attributed the record heatwave in Europe to climate change.
Also authorities have put Britain on a state of "national emergency" over the unprecedented temperatures as the nation often struggles to maintain key transport services when hit by unexpected weather such as heavy snow or high winds.

Russia fines Google $360m for failing to remove content concerning Ukraine war

 

 A Russian court has fined Google 21 billion rubles ($360 million) for failing to remove content concerning Russia’s military intervention in Ukraine, the nation’s telecommunications regulator has revealed.
 The Moscow court said the Google-owned video platform YouTube had failed to block “false information” on the offensive in Ukraine, “extremist and terrorist propaganda” and content “calling on minors to participate in unauthorised demonstrations”.
The regulator, Roskomnadzor said that as this was a repeat conviction for Google hence the huge fine.

Minimum marriage age for Muslim women raised to 18 in Malaysia with one year jail for polygamy without permission

 

 The Kedah state assembly in Malaysia has approved amendments to the state Islamic Family Enactment to raise the minimum marriage age for Muslim women to 18 years.
Speaking at the assembly this week, speaker Datuk Juhari Bulat said the amendment involved raising the age of marriage for women from 16 to 18 years old as well as the punishment for polygamy without court permission.
The punishment is imprisonment for one year or a fine of RM3,000 compared to six months imprisonment or a fine of RM1,000 previously.

 Reigning African champions Nigeria qualified for a ninth Women's World Cup in a row when beating Cameroon 1-0 in the quarter-finals of the Women's Africa Cup of Nations (Wafcon) in Casablanca.
Rasheedat Ajibade's 57th-minute header ensured Nigeria will meet hosts Morocco in Monday's late semi-final and that their Wafcon winning streak against Cameroon continues.
In Thursday's late game, South Africa sealed their return to the Women's World Cup after a narrow 1-0 win over Tunisia in the Moroccan capital Rabat.

Zimbabwean Central Bank to introduce gold coins to citizens as local currency tumbles

 

  Zimbabwe's central bank said it would start selling gold coins this month as a store of value to stop runaway inflation, which has weakened the local currency against the dollar .
The country's central bank governor John Mangudya said in a statement on Monday that the coins will be available for sale from July 25 in local currency, U.S. dollars and other foreign currencies at a price based on the prevailing international price of gold and the cost of production.
The "Mosi-oa-tunya" coin, named after Victoria falls, can be converted into cash and be traded locally and internationally, the central bank said. The gold coin will contain one troy ounce of gold and will be sold by Fidelity Gold Refinery, Aurex and local banks, it added.

Ivana Trump, Donald Trump's first wife, dies at 73

 

 Ivana Trump, Donald Trump's first wife and the mother of three of his children, has died aged 73.
"She was a wonderful, beautiful, and amazing woman, who led a great and inspirational life," Mr Trump posted on his social media platform Truth Social.
Ms Trump, who was born in what is now the Czech Republic, married the former president in 1977. They divorced 15 years later in 1992.
They had three children together - Donald Jr, Ivanka and Eric Trump.
Police believe the cause of death may be accidental, according to the Associated Press.
Sources told the news agency Ms Trump was found unconscious near a staircase at her New York City home, and it is believed she may have fallen.

 A photo of a baby born with lashes so long they extend to the infant's lips is going viral.
 The photo was shared on Instagram and it was revealed in the caption that the child was diagnosed with Eyelash Trichomegaly.
Eyelash Trichomegaly is a congenital condition in which the eyelashes are abnormally long.
 The condition can manifest at birth or later in life.
According to Instagram account, Medical Creations, Trichomegaly tends to have a benign course, but can lead to psychological disturbances and can result in corneal abrasions and visual disturbances, if trichiasis occurs.

Sri Lanka's embattled president Gotabaya Rajapaksa flees country to Maldives amid widespread protests over the country’s worst economic crisis

 

Sri Lankan President, Gotabaya Rajapaksa has fled the country amid widespread protests over his handling of the country’s worst economic crisis since independence in 1948.
 Rajapaksa, his wife and two bodyguards flew on a Sri Lankan Air Force plane to Male, the capital of the Maldives, the Sri Lankan Air Force confirmed in a statement on Wednesday July 13.
“Under the provisions of the Constitution and on a request by the government, the Sri Lanka Air Force provided a plane early today to fly the president, his wife and two security officials to the Maldives,” the statement said.

Doctor arrested for r@ping pregnant woman while she was giving birth

 

 An anaesthetist has been arrested for allegedly raping a pregnant woman during a C-section and it is also believed he may have carried out attacks on two more mothers on the same day.
 Giovanni Quintella Bezerra, 32, was arrested on suspicion of rape after he was allegedly secretly filmed orally raping a woman after he heavily sedated her at the Hospital da Mulher in São João de Meriti, Rio de Janeiro.
The woman's husband was told to leave the room and only found out about what had happened to his wife when he recognised the doctor on television after his arrest.

Owner of South African bar where 21 teens died is arrested

 

 The owner of the bar in the South African coastal town of East London where 21 teenagers mysteriously died last month has been arrested, police in the Eastern Cape province said.
Provincial police said in a statement that the owner, aged 52, was arrested over the weekend, while two employees at the tavern were subsequently arrested on Tuesday.
Forensic teams are yet to reveal their conclusions on how the teens died, with a source close to the investigation saying one theory was a chemical or gas leak and authorities also investigating possible accidental poisoning.
The owner is now expected to appear before the East London Magistrates Court on August 19 to face charges after an investigation that focused on the alleged supply of alcohol to minors, the statement said.

 According to results of a research by Finance Football,Hans-Dieter Flick of Germany is the best paid, with an annual pay of €6.5 million, ahead of England’s manager Gareth Southgate, who earns about €5.8 million per year. France's Didier Deschamps is also amongst the best paid managers in the world, with earnings of €3.8 million annualy.

'Cheer' star Jerry Harris sentenced to 12 years in prison in child pornography case

 

 "Cheer" star Jeremiah "Jerry" Harris has been sentenced to 12 years in federal prison, according to Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois Joseph D. Fitzpatrick.
"The sentence is 12 years in prison, to be followed by 8 years of court-supervised release," Fitzpatrick said to CNN in an email.
Harris, a former star of the Netflix reality docuseries "Cheer," pleaded guilty in February to one count each of receiving child pornography and engaging in sexual acts with a minor.
CNN has reached out to lawyers for Harris for comment.
In December 2020, Harris was charged with a seven-count indictment that was filed in U.S. District Court in northern Illinois.

Novak Djokovic wins seventh Wimbledon title, his 21st Grand Slam

 

Tennis star, Novak Djokovic defeated Nick Kyrgios during the men's singles final tennis match of the 2022 Wimbledon Championships on Sunday , July 10.
It was Djokovic's a seventh Wimbledon title and 21st Grand Slam. He won with a four-set triumph over Nick Kyrgios, whose challenge unravelled after a blistering start.
 Djokovic won 4-6, 6-3, 6-4, 7-6 (7/3) to equal Pete Sampras’s mark of seven titles at the All England Club and move within one of the men’s record of eight held by Roger Federer. The 35-year-old Serb is now one Slam ahead of Federer in the all-time race and just one behind Rafael Nadal’s record of 22 majors.

George Floyd's killer Derek Chauvin bags additional 21-year sentence for violating rights

 

 Former Minneapolis police officer, Derek Chauvin has been sentenced to more than 20 years in prison for violating George Floyd's civil rights.
 Chauvin, 46, pleaded guilty to the separate federal civil rights charges in December.
 He is already serving a 22-year state prison sentence for the on-duty murder of Mr Floyd, a 46-year-old black man.
 The two sentences will run concurrently and Chauvin will now be moved to a federal prison.
 But he will almost certainly spend more time behind bars following the sentencing. His sentence is due to be followed by five years of supervised release.

Nigeria Kuje prison break: More than 400 missing from Abuja jail

 

More than 400 prisoners are missing following a raid on a prison in Nigeria's capital Abuja, officials say. Four inmates, a security guard and several attackers were killed after the prison was targeted on Tuesday night, according to officials.
Islamist militants have said they carried out the attack, and dozens of jihadists are thought to be on the run.
More than 5,000 inmates have escaped during prison breaks in Nigeria since 2020.
Loud explosions and gunfire were heard near the Kuje medium-security prison, just outside the capital, on Tuesday night when the attack happened.

Macau shuts popular shopping mall in race to contain COVID outbreak

 

 Macau shut down a popular shopping mall adjacent to MGM China’s casino resort on the city’s main peninsula after several COVID-19 infections were found, as authorities raced to the biggest outbreak yet in the world’s biggest gambling hub.
One Central shopping mall will be shut for one week, while more than a dozen other zones or buildings, have also been ordered to close, authorities said.
Macau locked down one of the city’s most famous hotels, the Grand Lisboa on Tuesday, with more 500 people inside.
Macau has reported more than 1 000 coronavirus cases since mid-June with more than 14 000 people in mandatory quarantine.

Man who shot rapper Nipsey Hussle convicted of first-degree murder

 

 Eric Holder Jr, the man who shot and killed Grammy-nominated rapper Nipsey Hussle, has been convicted of first-degree murder.
 Holder, 32, had also been charged with two counts of attempted first-degree murder because two bystanders were hit by gunfire. But the jury found him guilty of two counts of attempted voluntary manslaughter instead.
Hussle, born Ermias Asghedom, was fatally shot outside of his Los Angeles clothing store in March 2019. He was 33.
