Legendary rapper, Lil Wayne, has reportedly paid off a massive $14 Million Tax Debt. According to court records obtained by The Blast, Weezy recently coughed up $14 million to settle his tax debt. The IRS filed releases of two separate federal tax liens against Wayne.

'Game of Thrones' final season to end with special behind-the-scenes documentary


The 8th and final season of Game of Thrones on M-Net (DStv 101) will conclude with a special, feature-length documentary, Game of Thrones: The Last Watch. HBO announced the scheduling and addition of the documentary on Wednesday.

Ranking Roger, General Public singer dies at 56


Ranking Roger, the co-founder of General Public and English Beat singer is dead. He died Tuesday after battling cancer. English Beat announced Roger Charley's death telling fans he had "sadly passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side earlier today.
Roger's family would like to thank everyone for their constant support during this tough time. Roger was a fighter."
Roger reportedly suffered a stroke last summer and was diagnosed with two brain tumors and lung cancer -- but no cause of death has been released yet. He was 56.

Authorities in Burundi have released three schoolgirls who were arrested and detained for allegedly defacing a picture of President Pierre Nkurunziza by scribbling on his image in textbooks following an international uproar.
The country’s minister for justice, Aimée Laurentine Kanyana, told the state broadcaster RTNB that the girls had been given provisional release but future cases would result in prosecutions.

A young mother has delivered healthy twins nearly a month after giving birth to a baby boy.
Arifa Sultana, 20, and husband Sumon Biswas welcomed a premature little tot into the world at Khulna Medical College Hospital, in Bangladesh, on February 25. Arifa was then was sent home to look after her child and began settling into life as a new mum.

Chelsea striker Gonzalo Higuain announces retirement from international football


Chelsea striker, Gonzalo Higuain has announced his retirement from international football with Argentina. The 31-year-old, who joined Chelsea in January on a loan deal from Juventus, scored 31 goals in 75 appearances for Argentina. He last match was against Nigeria in the World Cup last June.
Explaining his decision in an interview with Fox Sports, Higuain said: 'My time with Argentina is over. Thinking things through in-depth, my time is up.

Australian and  Everton legend, Tim Cahill, has announced his retirement from football at the age of 39. The announcement comes, after formel Millwall midfielder retired from internationals in November, ending a career in which he became Australia's leading scorer with 50 goals from 108 appearances. He last played for Jamshedpur in the Indian Super League, scoring two goals in 11 games before his contract ended.

Facebook bans white nationalism two weeks after New Zealand attack


Facebook announced Wednesday that it would ban all "praise, support and representation of white nationalism and separatism" on Facebook and Instagram. The move came less than two weeks after the suspect in the terror attack at two New Zealand mosques streamed the massacre live on the platform. A manifesto allegedly written by the suspect reveals white nationalist views.

A Russian man was arrested in Indonesia after attempting to smuggle a drugged orangutang out of the country in his luggage, local police said on Sunday. Andrei Zhestkov was preparing to fly out of the resort island Bali on Friday when an X-ray machine flagged the primate inside his suitcase, The Associated Press (AP) reported. Security officers found the two-year-old Borneo orangutang sleeping inside a fruit basket, according to the AP. The suitcase also contained allergy pills, two geckos, and five lizards, authorities said.

Parents arrested after it took them 14 hours to remember they left their 2-year-old at a park


Florida authorities have detained the parents of a toddler girl who was left in park overnight for 14 hours, charging both with neglect of a child. Deputies from the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office responded to calls of the two-year-old girl walking by herself in Haverhill Park on Friday night.

Disney bans smoking, large strollers from US parks


On Thursday, Disney announced that starting May 1, smoking and certain large strollers will no longer be allowed inside Florida and California Disney parks, including Walt Disney World, Disneyland theme parks, water parks, ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex and Downtown Disney. Guests who smoke will still be able to light up in designated areas outside park entry points and in smoking areas at Disney Resort hotels and Disney Springs.

Chicago Police Union calls for probe into the way Jussie Smollett's case was handled by attorney Kim Foxx


The Chicago Fraternal Order of Police is not pleased with the way Jussie Smollett's charges were dropped and the group is calling for a probe of the prosecutor's intervention. The Chicago Police Union has requested that the Department of Justice open an investigation into Cook County state’s attorney Kim Foxx’s handling of the Jussie Smollett case. Foxx ultimately recused herself from the investigation, but only after asking Chicago Police Department superintendent Eddie Johnson to turn the case over to the FBI following request from one of Smollett’s relatives and a former Obama administration official, according to emails and text messages obtained by the Chicago Sun Times.

The 74-year-old held the position for 38 years before announcing his resignation at the organization's annual general meeting in Manchester. His decision comes after criticism from PFA chairman and Walsall defender Ben Purkiss that's been backed up by former players.

Israeli police have arrested three men accused of scamming €8 million (£6.8 million) from a businessman by impersonating the French foreign minister.  The suspects, said to be French-Israelis, reportedly created a replica of Jean-Yves Le Drian's Paris office in Israel to conduct Skype calls.

A drunken pilot deliberately crashed a stolen plane into a building hosting a baby shower in an attempt to kill his wife after a row, it is claimed. Horrifying footage shows the plane being flown dangerously low before it smashed into a clubhouse and erupted into flames.

Dad of Sandy Hook school shooting victim dies from apparent suicide


The father of one of the victims of the Sandy Hook school shooting has died from an apparent suicide.  Jeremy Richman, 49, was found dead Monday morning, according to police in Newtown, Connecticut. His body was found at Edmond Town Hall in Newtown, where he had an office, authorities said.

Manchester United have appointed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as their permanent manager on a three-year contract, the Premier League club said on Thursday. The 46-year-old Norwegian has guided United to 14 wins in 19 matches in all competitions as caretaker boss since replacing the sacked Jose Mourinho in December.
Solskjaer, who scored 126 goals in 366 appearances for United, was already a hero to fans as the man who scored the stoppage-time winner in the 1999 Champions League final to complete the treble.

All charges dropped against Jussie Smollett


All the charges against Jussie Smollett have been dropped, his attorneys have announced in a statement. The Empire actor, who was facing up to 48 years in prison on 16 felony counts of lying to police in the alleged racial and homophobic attack, will no longer be prosecuted. Jussie and his lawyers appeared in court on Tuesday morning for an emergency hearing. It was agreed that Jussie will surrender his $10,000 bond. But, that's it. The case is over.

According to TMZ, the father of two was arrested in January as part of a sexual assault investigation stemming from an alleged incident in Dec. at a hotel in Dublin, Ireland.

Former first lady Michelle Obama's best-selling memoir, "Becoming," has sold nearly 10 million copies, and is set to become the best-selling memoir in history.
 The parent company of publisher Penguin Random House announced Tuesday.
"We believe this could be the most successful memoir in history," said Thomas Rabe, the chief executive of Bertelsmann, a parent company of Penguin Random House, according to the Wall Street Journal.
The candid memoir, which was released in November, quickly became a best-seller and one of the most popular books in the World.
 In its first week, "Becoming" sold more than 1.4 million copies, Penguin Random House said in November.

UK Prime Minister, Theresa May told Conservative lawmakers on Wednesday that she would step down if Parliament approved her plan for withdrawal from the European Union. 
 According to James Cartlidge who was present at the meeting, Theresa May told lawmakers during a party meeting that she “will not stay for the next round of negotiations,” but did not give a date for leaving.

At least 18 killed in Guatemala as truck plows into crowd


A truck crashed into a crowd of people in western Guatemala on Wednesday evening, killing 18 people, authorities said early on Thursday, correcting downward their initial assessment.
The truck struck a group of people who had gone onto the road to inspect another person who had been hit by a car, Cecilio Chacaj, a spokesman for the local fire department, told Reuters.

A grieving widower was forced to show his penis to family, friends, and officials after his father-in-law reported him to the police claiming his genitals were so large that it killed his daughter during sex.  The widower, named only as Baresh, was brought in for questioning in February this year after his father-in-law, Nedi Sito, 55, reported him. Nedi Sito, from the village of Maron Kidul in the Maron District of Indonesia's East Java province, had heard rumours circulating about his daughter Jumantri's death, aged 23, so he reported his son-in-law to police.

China factory blast death toll jumps to 64


The death toll in a chemical plant explosion in China rose to 64 Saturday but rescuers found a survivor among more than two dozen still missing in the debris of one of the country's worst industrial accidents in recent years. Thursday's explosion in the eastern city of Yancheng injured hundreds and flattened an industrial park.

Ethiopian Airlines CEO rejects criticism that pilots did not train on 737 Max 8 simulator


The pilots of a jet that crashed in Ethiopia, killing all on board, used a flight simulator to learn how to fly the Boeing 737 Max 8 plane, the airline told CNN. Flight 302 crashed March 10, six minutes after takeoff from Addis Ababa. It was the second disaster involving a new 737 Max 8 plane in less than six months.

A woman has given birth to twins with different DNA and this opened up a can of worms as it made it clear she had been cheating on her husband. The woman in China had a set of twin boys but one of the boys didn't look like the woman's husband. A DNA test showed that they had different DNA. This increased the husband's suspicion and the woman was forced to admit that she cheated on her husband in a one-night stand.

Deadly blaze hits Banani building in Dhaka, Bangladeshi


At least seven people have been killed in a huge blaze in a high-rise building in an upmarket commercial area of the Bangladeshi capital, Dhaka. More than 20 others have been injured. Dozens of people are feared trapped inside the 19-storey office block in Banani. People were seen shouting for help from windows and local media say some have jumped out of the building.

Counter-terrorism officers in central England are investigating attacks on five mosques in which windows were apparently shattered by a sledgehammer. The attacks in Birmingham are being treated as linked. No motive has been established.

A young model who tried to smuggle heroin worth around £1.1 million into Ireland has been jailed for more than eight years. Tereza Hluskova, 22, broke down in tears as the judge sentenced her. Photos and clips posted on social media show Hluskova wiping away tears at Lahore Sessions Court in Pakistan.

Cyclone Idai: Cholera cases reported in storm-hit Mozambique


A week after the flooded Mozambican port of Beira was hit by Cyclone Idai, cases of cholera have been recorded, a humanitarian aid group said on Friday. The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) warned of the risk of other outbreaks, already noting an increase in malaria.
The storm has so far killed 557 people across Mozambique, Zimbabwe and Malawi, but the death toll is expected to rise. Idai made landfall near Beira with 177km/h (106 mph) winds on 14 March.
Aid workers are slowly delivering relief but conditions are said to be extremely difficult, with some areas completely inaccessible and a scarcity of helicopters.
Some 1.7 million people are said to be affected across southern Africa, with no electricity or running water in areas where homes have been swept away and roads destroyed by the floods.

Saudi Arabia heading for record number of executions this year after killing 43 people already in 3-months


Saudi Arabia is reportedly heading for the record number of beheadings and crucifixions in 2019 if their executions continue at the present rate.  Daily Mail TV reported that the desert kingdom have already executed 43 people in the first three months of this year and the most recent was a Syrian man who was put to death on March 13th for smuggling amphetamine pills.

Parliament observed a minute silence for victims of the tragic shooting in New Zealand but there was no tribute on Ghanaian tragedy that left 62 passengers dead. The MPs also paid tributes to victims of a natural disaster in Southern Africa in which a cyclone left in its wake over 750 deaths and displaced in devastated infrastructure. That tragedy occurred March 14, 2019 more than a week ago.

UFC star Conor McGregor announces shock retirement from mixed martial arts

Apple finally unveils its streaming TV service, Apple TV Plus
