Married father-of-two abandons his family to live with a herd of cows who saved his life in India


A married father-of-two in India, Vijay Parsana, 44, abandoned his family five years ago to live full-time with cows who he thanks for saving his life and has since developed unexplainable love for them. Vijay eats the cows' urine and dung, bathes, watches television and shares his bed with them in a religious retreat. He claims that the animals saved him from his bad gambling habit.

'When I’m with them I forget the world. When I’m with them, nothing in the world worries me.

Man turns himself in after killing his wife's lover he found on their matrimonial bed


A Zambian man has turned himself in after killing his wife's secret lover, pictured above, whom he found on their matrimonial bed yesterday September 26th. According to Zambian local media, the man returned home unexpectedly to Solwezi in the middle of the night from Lumwana where he works and found the man in his matrimonial bed with his wife fast asleep in his bedroom. He took some pictures and afterward went into their kitchen and picked up a pounding stick, returned to the bedroom and struck the man on the head. The secret lover died as his head was broken and his brain spilled out. The angry husband then picked up the body of the deceased, put it in his car and drove to the police station where he handed himself over! The body of the deceased is lying in solwezi general hospital mortuary.

Dreaded flu heading towards Britain could kill as many people as the Hong Kong pandemic of 1968


The dreaded Aussie flu outbreak that the NHS is preparing for will be the worst in 50 years, experts have warned. Some A&E units in Australia had 'standing room only' after being swamped by more than 100,000 cases of the H3N2 strain. Professor Robert Dingwall, a public health expert at Nottingham Trent University, said it is 'inevitable' it will reach Britain. He said it could claim as many lives as the Hong Kong flu outbreak in 1968, which killed at least one million people.
Professor Dingwall told The Daily Express: 'Based on the Australian experience public health officials need to meet and urgently review emergency planning procedures.

Saudi Arabia agrees to let women drive


Saudi Arabia announced on Tuesday that it would allow women to drive, ending a longstanding policy that has become a global symbol of the oppression of women in the ultraconservative kingdom. The change, which will take effect in June 2018, was announced in a royal decree read live on state television and in a simultaneous media event in Washington. The decision highlights the damage that the ban on women driving has done to the kingdom’s international reputation and its hopes for a public relations benefit from the reform.

Robot performs dental surgery on first patient


A woman in China recently became the first person to have oral surgery performed solely by a robot. While human doctors were in the room for the procedure, the robot autonomously implanted two teeth into the patient’s mouth using pre-programmed directions, according to the South China Morning Post.
The technology was invented by Wuhan University Stomatological Hospital and Beihang University’s robotics institute to deal with a shortage of dentists in the country and frequent surgical errors.

Russia threatens to ban Facebook by 2018


In a major development, Russia’s Federal Communications Agency has threatened to block Facebook access by 2018 if the social networking website doesn’t agree to store its data locally. Alexander Zharov, Chief of Russia’s communication watchdog told agencies on Tuesday that they will work to ‘make Facebook comply with the law’ on personal data, where in foreign companies have an obligation to store their data locally in Russia. When the law went into effect in 2015, critics had then criticised the move which potentially exposes the data to Russian intelligence services. Zharov said on Tuesday that the Russian government understands that Facebook is a “unique service” but said it will not make exceptions and will have to block it next year if Facebook does not comply.

Uber's new CEO issued an apology to Londoners on Monday just days after city officials said they would not renew the company's license.
"While Uber has revolutionized the way people move in cities around the world, it's equally true that we've got things wrong along the way," Dara Khosrowshahi wrote in a letter first published in London newspaper The Evening Standard. "On behalf of everyone at Uber globally, I apologize for the mistakes we've made."

Angola swears in 1st new president after 38 years


Jose Eduardo dos Santos's 38-year reign over Angola finally came to an end today when his hand-picked successor Joao Lourenco was inaugurated as president at a ceremony in Luanda. Lourenco read an oath in which he vowed "on my honour to devote myself" to the role of president, as he took power after the ruling MPLA party won last month's election.
Dos Santos, who was at the ceremony but is reportedly in poor health, surprised many by announcing his retirement earlier this year, saying he would not be a candidate in the election.

7 arrested in Egypt after raising rainbow flag


Egyptian police have arrested seven people after they were allegedly seen raising rainbow flags at a concert in Cairo , security sources say. The seven were reportedly detained on Monday for "promoting sexual deviancy", but have not yet been formally charged.
Prosecutors opened an investigation after images from the concert by the Lebanese band Mashrou' Leila - whose lead singer is openly gay - went viral. Homosexuality is not explicitly criminalised under Egyptian law. But the authorities routinely arrest people suspected of engaging in consensual homosexual conduct on charges of "debauchery", "immorality" or "blasphemy".
The advocacy group, Solidarity With Egypt LGBTQ+, said late last year that it had recorded 114 criminal investigations involving 274 lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender individuals since 2013. The raising of the rainbow flag was a rare public show of support for the LGBT community in the conservative Muslim country.

A man was spotted clinging to the rear of a train's windscreen wipers as it sped along the tracks at 70mph. The incredible footage was posted by Lace Stone on her Facebook page with the comment: "When u don't wanna ride with the filth on the train but u got places to be."
The 19-second clip, which has been viewed more than 5,000 times, starts by showing a train speeding alongside the Mitchell Freeway in Perth, Australia. He was detained and arrested by Public Transport Authority officers when the train arrived at its next stop at Stirling station and was taken to hospital to undergo a mental health assessment.

UN peacekeepers killed in Mali explosion


At least three United Nations soldiers have been killed and five others seriously wounded by an explosive device that detonated as they were escorting a convoy in Mali, according to the West African nation's peacekeeping mission. The convoy was travelling between the towns of Anefis and Gao in Mali's volatile north when the explosion occurred at around 07:00 GMT, a statement from the mission, MINUSMA, said, adding that the death toll was provisional.
"Our thoughts go firstly to the families and loved ones. We pledge our complete support to them during this painful ordeal," Koen Davidse, the head of MINUSMA, said. "The mission will use all means to ensure that justice is rendered."

The TV personality's face is so drastically different to the image on his passport, which led to a wait in customs, during which he revealed he was treated 'very well'. Following his experience, he was advised to not have any more facial modifications until he was ready to have his passport updated and renewed.

Seven Italian professors under house arrest for alleged corruption


Seven Italian university professors have been placed under house arrest and 22 have been suspended from teaching following a nationwide corruption probe. The Guardia di Finanza police said on Monday that “the professors, all experts in tax law, are accused of rigging promotions within the university system via reciprocal back-scratching deals.”
A total of 59 professors have been placed under investigation, including Augusto Fantozzi, a former finance minister and bankruptcy administrator for the Alitalia airline. Fantozzi professed his innocence through his lawyer, who spoke to ANSA news agency. Report says cronyism and a lack of meritocracy have long plagued Italian universities, and are often blamed for encouraging young academics to continue their careers abroad.

The man was initially stopped by law enforcement for allegedly urinating in public before Secret ServiceUniform Division officers approached the man outside an art gallery in the area of 17th street and Pennsylvania Avenue near the White House.

Grammy award-winning singer, Jennifer Lopez has donated $1 Million to Puerto Rico Hurricane Relief. The singer who is born to Puerto Rican parents and still has family on the island, made the announcement on Sunday in NYC alongside the state's governor, Andrew Cuomo, saying the American island nation was in desperate need of help after being devastated by Hurricane Maria she'd contribute to with a million from the proceeds of her Las Vegas shows,TMZ reported.
The mother of two will also be teaming up with Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban and Puerto Rican player J.J. Barea, in the relief effort by sending supplies and generators by aircraft. J Lo who is now calling on other generous people to donate to Puerto Rico Hurricane Relief, donated $25k to Hurricane Harvey relief efforts last month.

Snake handler found dead with pet python laying beside him


A snake lover found dead at his home may have been killed by his pet snake, it is feared. Police said Dan Brandon, 31, was found unresponsive in his room with one of his pythons out of its cage nearby. Dan is said to have suffered "serious injuries".
The death in Church Crookham, Hampshire, is being treated as non-suspicious but one line of inquiry is that the pet snake was involved, Daily Mirror reports. Pythons have killed humans before, but it is believed it would be the first time it has happened in Britain. And experts say it is unlikely as pythons generally only kill what they want to eat.

German election: Angela Merkel wins fourth term


German Chancellor Angela Merkel has won a fourth term in office after a general election that has surged an overtly nationalist party to enter parliament for the first time in decades.  Merkel's centre-right Christian Democratic Union party secured 33 percent of the vote on Sunday, down about nine percent compared to the last election in 2013. Their main rival and current coalition partner, the centre-left Social Democrats led by Martin Schulz, got around 21 percent of the vote - their worst result in post-war Germany.

70 year old man with 14 children arrested for sexually assaulting 7 year old orphan for four years

4-year-old girl shoots herself with grandmother's gun while looking in purse for candy


A young girl lost her life after shooting herself in the chest. 4-year-old Yanelly "Nelly" Zoller was at her grandparents' home in Tampa, Florida, when she decided to search for candy. Nelly took her grandmother's purse, and searched for candy.
While searching for sweets, she found a gun. The curious child pulled the trigger and accidentally shot herself. Nelly died from a single gunshot wound to the chest at the home of her paternal grandparents, Michael and Christie Zoller.

Four wounded as private jet crashes at Istanbul airport


A private jet crashed on landing and burst into flames Thursday while making an emergency landing at Istanbul’s main international airport, leaving four injured, officials said. The incident forced the temporary closure of Ataturk International Airport and while it later reopened passengers were still experiencing delays.
Istanbul governor Vasip Sahin said the Cessna Citation plane had two pilots on board, one crew member and one passenger, all Turkish citizens.
“Their condition is good, there were no fatalities and they are undergoing treatment at the hospital,” he said, quoted by the state-run Anadolu news agency.

Leyla Aliyeva, the daughter of Azerbaijan's president Ilham Aliyev has been criticised on social media after she was filmed taking ridiculous seflies while her father spoke at the United Nations General Assembly. A Sri Lankan couple who staged a mind blowing wedding by using hundreds of schoolchildren for the ceremony are now being investigated. According to local media reports, about 250 students from a state-owned school carried the bride’s two-mile train as she and the groom walked down the main road in the central district of Kandy on Thursday, while another 100 students served as flower girls at the wedding. The saree was the longest ever worn by a bride in Sri Lanka.

Donald Trump has signed a new travel ban affecting eight countries.The new travel ban is set to prohibit all citizens of North Korea from entering the United States . It also slaps restrictions on Iran, Chad, Libya, Syria, Venezuela, Yemen and Somalia. The new restrictions, which will go into effect on October 18, resulted from a review after President Donald Trump's original travel bans were challenged in court.
"North Korea does not cooperate with the United States government in any respect and fails to satisfy all information-sharing requirements," the proclamation said.
An administration official, briefing reporters on a conference call, acknowledged that the number of North Koreans traveling to the United States now was very low.

Uber loses licence to operate in London


Uber has been stripped of its London licence in a surprise move that has triggered an outcry from drivers at the ride-hailing company and Conservative politicians. The firm’s application for a new licence in London was rejected on the basis that the company is not a “fit and proper” private car hire operator. Uber said it planned to challenge the ruling by London’s transport authority in the courts immediately. This means Uber cars will not disappear from the streets immediately and will continue to operate for its 3.5 million users in the capital until the firm has exhausted the appeals process – which could take months. The current licence expires on 30 September but Uber has 21 days to appeal and can continue to operate until that process expires.
The decision by Transport for London was backed by London mayor Sadiq Khan, employment rights campaigners, and the trade body for the capital’s black cab drivers.

A man had his genitals chopped off by a spurned lover in Malappuram, a city in the Indian state of Kerala, after she found out he was marrying another woman, Mail Online reported. The injured man, named only as 26-year-old Irshad, met up with his lover, 30, for ‘one last time’ before he was due to tie the knot with a bride of their parents’ choice. The scorned lover invited him to a guest house in Malappuram’s Kattipuram area, where she cut off his genitals with a knife on Tuesday. Adjoining guests heard him scream and they rushed him to MIMS Hospital in Kozhikode, where he is still undergoing treatment.

Woman who scratched Lexus and waited for owner to confess gets rewarded with fully paid college tuition


A woman in China, was terrified when she accidentally hit and scratched a Lexus with her motorcycle. The owner was not around to witness the accident. While the 18-year-old student, who was identified as Zhang, could have fled the scene and get away with it, she chose not do so. Zhang, who is a freshman visual communications student at the Baoshan Academy School of Art and Design in Yunnan, said that she was driving her motorcycle when she accidentally hit the parked black Lexus sedan while negotiating a curve.

Woman who killed her boyfriend dismembered body in front of 10-year-old daughter because he was too heavy


A woman admitted to cutting up the body of her murdered boyfriend in front of her daughter, according to police in Texas. The Baytown Police Department announced the arrest of 30-year-old Cierra Alexis Sutton, who was accused of murdering 32-year-old Steven Coleman. Sutton is facing numerous charges with the most serious being second-degree murder. Sutton is currently being held in jail without bail. According to the police investigation, Sutton and Coleman had an argument on the night of the murder.

Gambia pledges to abolish death penalty


The Gambia has pledged to abolish the death penalty in a clean break with the former regime of Yahya Jammeh, giving activists hope that more African states will follow its example. President Adama Barrow, elected in December 2016, signed a UN treaty on the abolition of capital punishment following his maiden speech at the world body’s general assembly, the government said in a press release Thursday.
“By signing the treaties, the new Gambia continues to promote democracy and show the commitment of the state to protect lives of political activists,” the statement said, referring to four other treaty pledges on issues including forced disappearances.

Police officer fatally shoots girlfriend for rejecting his marriage proposal after dating for 3 months


A police officer who did not like the fact that he was rejected by the woman he loved, decided to kill her. Constable Simon Njoroge Njau of Kenya, met 23-year-old Anne Wanjohi, three months ago.  The two began dating, and Njau quickly fell in love with her. However, the woman did not feel the same way. According to witnesses, the officer went to see his girlfriend at an Internet cafe in Nairobi city center, where she worked.

China: Shocking new trend has street vets removing vocal cords of dogs to stop them from barking


People were horrified to learn about the new trend of removing the vocal cords of dogs.  A reporter in China, went undercover to expose the horrific trend. A gruesome video, which was posted by Daily Mail, shows an alleged unlicensed street doctor named Zeng, performing the procedure on dozens of dogs. The surgeries were carried out in public. In the video, the doctor was seen giving the dogs anesthesia while they were on a small table.
The man's assistant is seen placing red string under the dogs' upper teeth and pulling them open. The vet then placed additional string behind the bottom set of teeth and forced the mouths of the animals open. The assistant kept the dogs' mouth wide open while the man used tools to remove the vocal cords of the defenseless dogs.

The mother of South Africa, called police after her son, 23-year-old Aphiwe Mapekula, dragged her maid into their home and decapitated her.  The maid, 35-year-old Thembisa Masumpa, was doing work in the backyard of the Mount Frere home when Mapekula grabbed her and dragged her to his home, where he slit her throat and cut her head off.

A man in Australia, caused millions of dollars in damages to a bank after setting himself on fire because the line was too long. 22-year-old Nur Islam of Melbourne, was waiting in line at the Commonwealth Bank in Springvale. According to police, Islam from Myanmar, who is in the country illegally, wanted to withdraw $442 from his account. After waiting for a long time, Islam became agitated because there were still many people ahead of him in line.

Parents of Indian baby boy born with huge bulging eyes says, "We won't abandon him"


Parents of a baby boy born in an Indian village with large red eyes and holes in place of his nose have said they will not abandon him even as cruel locals label the child an "alien". The tot was born to Karishma and Arshad at their home in Aligarh in Uttar Pradesh, India, in the early hours of Tuesday. He has very large red eyes, holes in place of a nose, and no ears.  The young mother was stunned when she saw her second child for the first time but believes his birth is God's will.

Police in Kentucky, released photos of a naked man who was seen stealing clothes from a deceased man at a funeral home. The Leitchfield Police Department said that they are investigating the burglary that occurred on Wednesday, at the Watson & Hunt Funeral Home on Elizabethtown Road. At approximately 8:30 p.m., the suspect entered the business through the front door. He then stayed inside the business for several hours. At one point, he even took a nap in a chair located in the office of the business. He was also seen drinking soda and eating candy.

Teen raped and murdered mother of 4 children before having sex with dead body


A teenager admitted to raping a mother and killing her in the street, according to police in Maryland. The Baltimore Police Department said that they have arrested 18-year-old James Arthur House, after being accused of killing 35-year-old Jessica Gibson. House has been charged with first and second-degree murder, first and second-degree rape. He was booked into jail, and is being held without bail.
According to the police investigation, the incident unfolded on Tuesday night, on a road between Baltimore and Lombard streets. House dragged Gibson behind large pellets, where he raped her. House then killed the mother of four children. He later had sex with the dead body before escaping from the scene. Police found Gibson's body on Wednesday morning. House turned himself in to police and confessed to the crime. Gibson left behind her four children, Gage, Nia, Dominic, & Cameron.

Baby found stuffed down the toilet of a tour bus


A staff cleaning a Bangkok to Phitsanulok tour bus made the horrific discovery on September 20, while they were trying to extract sanitary towels and tissues from a waste pipe. They were shocked to see two little feet belonging to the fetus of a boy aged about four to five months.
Police and medics were called to the garage of the Phitsanulok Yan Yon company and the baby was removed from the pipe. Investigators also found blood on the seats of C12 and D12 downstairs on the double decker vehicle. The seats were registered to the same name and police are now in the process of contacting that person to see if they are involved.

Uganda bans protests amid bid to end presidential age limit


Ugandan police have banned a protest set for Thursday when lawmakers debate plans to scrap a presidential age limit, seen as a bid to pave the way for Yoweri Museveni to seek a sixth term as leader. A ruling party lawmaker is expected to put forward a bill to amend a constitutional provision that states the president must be between 35 and 75 years old. Museveni, who has been in office since 1986, has said he is 73 years old, which under the current law would prevent him from running in elections in 2021. However his true age is the subject of much debate.
Police chief Kale Kayihura said in a statement that a planned protest was intended to cause "violence and mayhem" and urged demonstrators to use "indoor meetings" to express their opinion.

Pastor Vanessa Brown and Pastor Twanna Gause who met as choir girls about 30 years ago recently got married at the New Vision Full Gospel Baptist Church in East Orange, New Jersey. California man bags 24 years in prison for sexually abusing 15-Year-old girl with autism


A California man was on Tuesday sentenced to 24 years in state prison for sexually abusing a 15-year-old girl with autism over a three-week period, the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office said. Prosecutors said Samuel Duran, 36, kept the teenage girl who disappeared from her Mar Vista home on March 24 and sexually abused her for weeks during the spring of 2015 at his residence. Duran who was later arrested and charged with three counts of forcible oral copulation with the victim, pleaded no contest last month.

Saudi Arabia to lift ban on WhatsApp and Skype calls


Saudi Arabia is lifting a ban on voice and video calling apps such as WhatsApp and Skype, in a move aimed at boosting productivity and economic growth. The ministry of communications said access to Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) would be "widely available to users" from Wednesday. It had previously blocked VoIP apps for failing to comply with "regulations".

Teenager rapes man at knifepoint while filming incident


A woman accused of raping a man at knifepoint and filming part of the alleged incident could be spared prison. Lestina Marie Smith was 17 when she allegedly raped a man, then 19, in his car while armed with a steak knife. The man had testified earlier in the case that they had dated for almost two months late last year but broke up after Smith hit him.A few months later Smith allegedly asked him to meet her and threatened him with a knife before raping him. Smith, now 18, faced up to life in prison but could not avoid a jail sentence after pleading no contest to lesser charges, the New York Post reports.

Bernie Casey dies at 78


Bernie Casey, the beloved and iconic co-star in "Revenge of the Nerds" and "I'm Gonna Git You Sucka," has died in an L.A. hospital. Bernie's rep says he died peacefully Wednesday, surrounded by loved ones. He suddenly fell ill recently, and had spent the last few days hospitalized.
He broke into Hollywood with roles in blaxploitation films, and went on to co-star in nearly 80 different projects - most notably he was the national head of the Tri Lams in 'Nerds' and neighborhood activist John Slade in 'Sucka.' He was also in "Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure."
Casey was totally a jack-of-several-trades, having also played in the NFL as a Pro Bowl wide receiver for the L.A. Rams in the late '60s. He also had a passion for painting and poetry.
Bernie was 78.
