Death sentence for Boston Marathon bomber

"I am sorry for the lives I have taken, for the suffering that I have caused you, for the damage I have done, irreparable damage", those were the words of the Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the 21-year-old who was part of the mastermind behind the explosion that killed 3 people and injured an estimated 264 others, as well as killing a police officer three days later.

If you recall, the Boston Marathon bombing was a 2013 bombing incident that occurred when two pressure cooker bombs exploded during the Boston Marathon. The bombs exploded about 12 seconds apart, near the finish line on Boylston Street. The court has since found him guilty and sentenced to death.
