Birds of prey steals underwears from skinny-dipping naturists

A Red Kite
Naturists at a popular bathing spot near Glen Esk in Angus have been falling victim to birds of prey, who pinches their pants and socks to build a warm nest for their young ones. The skinny dippers after emerging from the waters usually discover that their underwear were missing. A foul play was ruled out when bird watchers later discovered the culprits were red kites, who had used the clothing to make a cosy home for their young.

Gamekeeper Dave Clement found a selection of socks and a pair of navy underpants (pictured above) lining a nest where two young chicks had hatched.

Naturists are being warned to hide their clothes if they strip off for a cooling dip.
