According to a report on DailyMail, three pigs were unleashed on a supermarket in Lot et Garonne in the south west of France as part of a protest by farmers over the price of their produce. Earlier, hundreds of farmers had blocked access roads to the A6 highway in Limonest near Lyon with their tractors, furious with a £423million government package to ease their financial plight sparked by falling prices. British motorists heading to France for their summer holidays were warned they face disruption on major routes, including into Lyon, because of action by farmers.
