Yogita Rameshbhai Nandwana, 5, and Amisha, 3, are two obese sisters living in Gujarat, India. Both sisters used to weigh 5st 5lbs and 7st 8lbs respectively, leaving them unable to do anything for themselves thus leading to their parent’s search for medical help. Their impoverished father Rameshbhai Nandwana, 34, who earns just £35 a month, considered selling a kidney to pay for medical help.  According to the doctors, the children are believed to be suffering from Prader-Willi syndrome which gives sufferers a constant desire to eat food.

The sister's daily diet
Their daily diet includes 18 chapatis, 3lbs of rice, two bowls of broth, six packets of crisps, five packs of biscuits, 12 bananas and a litre of milk. They were both placed on special diets by specialists and were able to lose 13lbs each in three months. However, the most significant achievement for the sisters is their ability to walk unaided for the first time since their excessive weight has rendered them immobile without help. Their brother, Harsh, who also suffers from obesity, has also been on a diet to try and reduce his excess weight.
