| Mohammed Emwazi aka Jihadi John |
Pentagon is working to confirm if Britain's ISIS executioner, Mohammed Emwazi aka Jihadi John has been killed in a 'flawless clean hit' while climbing into a vehicle in Raqqa. American Forces have carried out air strikes in Syria targeting him and US are '99 per cent' sure the British militant has been killed. The drone strikes took place in Islamic State's capital of Raqqa, Syria
The 27-year-old from London, who became the face of ISIS in their sickening beheading videos, was 'evaporated' by a missile as he climbed into a vehicle after leaving a building, it was reported. One defence source told ABC News the Kuwaiti-born militant, who moved to the UK when he was six years old, was blown up in a 'flawless' and 'clean hit'.
However, there is a good chance his death will never be confirmed if his body has been incinerated and spies may have to rely on intercepting chatter from jihadis to corroborate the reports.
CNN reported that the families of Emwazi’s American victims had been informed of the strike.
Emwazi was born in Kuwait in 1988 and came to the UK in 1994 when he was six years old. His parents reported him missing in August 2013 and were reportedly told by police, four months later, that he was in Syria.
