Young couple Jade Sparham, 20, and Liam Scaife, 21, celebrated the arrival of their newborn baby Poppy-Rae in November. Two days after the birth, the parents noticed a distinctive mark on Poppy-Rae’s head. The full-time-mum from Skegness said: “I couldn’t believe when we spotted the heart on her head, especially after we worked out that she was conceived on Valentine’s Day last year.”
At first they were concerned, as the blemish turned an angry shade of red whenever Poppy-Rae laughed or cried. Anxious Jade immediately took Poppy-Rae to see her local GP, who reassured her that it was just a birth mark. Mum Jade explained: "At first we worried that Poppy-Rae would be bullied as she grew up, or struggle to find a boyfriend.

"But now, we've realised that her birthmark is what makes her unique and it makes her more beautiful to us both.”
Jade revealed: "If Liam and I ever have an argument or disagreement, all we need to do is look at Poppy and we're reminded of how much we really love each other.
"She's so adorable, you can't help but love her.”
Doctors believe that the distinctive heart marking may disappear once Poppy-Rae reaches the age of four or five, but it could re-occur later in lie.
