Two people were killed on April 4 after they became trapped under rubble when a wall collapsed in a park in central Istanbul. A total of seven people were reportedly trapped under the debris. Five were rescued and transferred to various hospitals. However, search-and-rescue teams eventually reached the lifeless bodies of another two. Gülhane Park, a popular location for tourists and locals alike, is a historical urban site overlooking the Bosphorus Strait located on the grounds of the city’s Topkapı Palace.
