Police in Norway to carry weapons after Stockholm attack
Police in Norway who usually do not carry guns on duty are being armed following a truck attack Friday in Sweden’s capital that killed three people. Norwegian police said in a tweet that the order to carry weapons would be in effect until further notice. The order was directed to police in Norway's largest cities and the Oslo airport. Oslo Police spokeswoman Marita Aune confirmed to The Associated Press that officers in Oslo already have started carrying weapons. Police in neighboring Sweden typically are armed.
A hijacked truck plowed into a crowd in central Stockholm on Friday that left three people dead and several others injured.
