Piers Morgan has apologised to Ariana Grande after criticising singer for leaving UK after terror attack

Piers Morgan has apologised to Ariana Grande, admitting that he ‘misjudged’ her when he claimed after the Manchester terror attack that she should have remained in the UK to help ‘comfort’ her fans. Taking to Twitter during the One Love Manchester benefit show on Sunday June 4, Morgan wrote: ‘I misjudged you, @ArianaGrande & I apologise. You’re an admirable young woman & this is a magnificent night. Respect.  #OneLoveManchester.’
His previous comments came in the days following the devastating terror attack on Manchester Arena which took place as Grande ended her sold out show. Discussing the Queen visiting children in hospital following an earlier tweet from Katy Perry showing Her Majesty visiting the injured, Piers, 52, known for his outspoken views and commentary, said that Grande should have remained in the UK, claiming that he ‘expected better from her’.

Suicide bomber Salman Abedi detonated a nail bomb just outside the Arena, causing an explosion that killed 22 people and injured 119. She later returned to the UK to put on the benefit concert, which featured an enormous line-up of talent including Pharrell Williams, Take That, Coldplay, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus and more.
