Girls' education activist, Malala Yousafzai gets into Oxford University


Girls' education activist and Nobel prize winner, Malala Yousafzai who narrowly avoided death after being shot by the Taliban for defending the right of girls to attend school, has gained a place to study at the University of Oxford. Malala, 20, revealed that she has been accepted to study philosophy, politics and economics (PPE)  at the prestigious institution after receiving her A-level results.
She tweeted a screenshot of the confirmation and wrote; "So excited to go to Oxford!! Well done to all A-level students - the hardest year. Best wishes for life ahead!"
