Higuain matches Ibrahimovic with double-century achievement

The Swede had previously stood alone in terms of how prolific he had been in multiple major leagues, but has now been joined by the Argentine. Gonzalo Higuain joined a club of just two players on Saturday when he netted for Juventus against AC Milan.
In scoring his 100th goal in Serie A, the Argentine striker became just one of a couple of players to net 100 times in two of Europe’s top five leagues during the 21st century. He had previously struck 107 times during his seven-year run with Real Madrid in La Liga.

It has taken the 29-year-old only five campaigns to reach triple figures in Serie A, and in doing so he mirrors the achievement of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who also reached the 100-goal milestone in both Serie A and Ligue 1.
