Brad Pitt wins in custody dispute with Angelina Jolie
A year-and-a-half after Angelina Jolie shockingly filed for divorce from Brad Pitt, the duo has finally found some middle ground when it comes to their custody battle — which is a win for the dad-of-six, given that his ex previously fought for full physical custody. A source tells Life & Style that the former couple is actually close to finalising their divorce.
"Brad and Angelina are near an amiable agreement on the kids," the source reveals. "They're in a better place than they have been in a long time and should be settling their divorce and custody agreement by sometime in February."
Life & Style previously reported that the 54-year-old didn't get a chance to spend Christmas or New Year's with Maddox, 16, Pax, 14, Zahara, 13, Shiloh, 11, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 9. As an insider explained in mid-December, "Angie's in the driver's seat when it comes to getting the children for the holidays and she's taking advantage of that."
But her constant need for control may be causing the 42-year-old to snap.
"Everyone's afraid that Angie is headed toward a complete physical meltdown," a third source shared. "She feels like she needs to be everything to everyone — a full-time mom, human rights activist, UN spokesperson, glamorous actress, director, and producer."
Friends have urged her to take it easy, but that's not her style. Not only has she signed on to multiple projects, including the sequel to 2014's Maleficent, but she's also campaigning hard to star in and direct a biopic about wildlife conservationist Jane Goodall. It also hasn't helped that Brad is turning to his ex, Jennifer Aniston, for emotional support.
"Brad and Jen have bonded like never before over the past year," a friend told In Touch. "And they've been helping each other through their respective troubles."
We hope Angie and Brad will soon be able to put this nasty period behind them.
