White cop fired for arresting his daughter’s black boyfriend for no reason

A white cop was fired for arresting his daughter’s black boyfriend for no reason, then saying ‘We’ll make shit up as we go.’
John Kovach Jr. pulled 18 year-old Makai Coleman over in April and told him ‘You’re going to jail’ – and ignored an emergency call telling him to attend a road rage incident to do so.
When the young man prostested that hadn’t done anything wrong, Kovach said: ‘You’re going to jail. Have a seat in my car,’ before issuing the threat about making an offense up.
The cop, who worked for Lorain PD in Ohio, was trying to find his daughter Katlyn at the time, but was unaware she was in the back seat of Coleman’s car. After finally spotting her, he ordered Katlyn into the car, and booted Coleman out, before driving off.
Kovach’s bosses this week confirmed he had been fired from his job after viewing dashcam footage of the disturbing incident, The Morning Journal reported.
Lorain PD spokesman Dan Given said his behavior was ‘not acceptable and warranted an immediate dismissal.’
Police Chief Cel Rivera added that Kovach’s actions were an abuse of police authority and a serious departure from appropriate protocol…
‘They are contrary to the mission, values and policies of the Lorain Police Department.’
However, Kovach is now contesting his dismissal and is set to offer what he calls ‘his side of the story’ through a neutral arbitrator in September.
