Man murders his childhood bully at school reunion, 50 years later
A 69-year-old Thailand man identified as Thanapat Anakesri has literally settled the scores with his childhood bully after leaving him for dead on Sunday, August 25 at a school reunion. According to reports, Thanapat was bullied and tormented by the deceased for several years. For over 50 years, he felt resentful until he finally came face-to-face with his nemesis.
The 69-year-old man attending a school reunion in Ang Thong, Thailand, has been declared wanted after taking revenge on the pupil who bullied him over 50 years ago, by shooting him dead at the event.
Thanapat Anakesri, a retired Marine, confronted Suthat Kosayamat, also 69, at the end of an evening of eating, drinking, and reminiscing, and reminded him of how he bullied him when they were both 16.
He asked him to apologise but Suthat said he couldn’t remember what had happened between them and suggested they forget it. An enraged Thanapat was further agitated and he drew a gun and shot his former classmate before escaping from the scene.
The Thailand police department has since been looking for the murderer who claimed to have been bullied in his childhood.
Police Captain Sombat Somboondee said officers found a 9mm cartridge and another dummy round at the scene.
The Ang Thong Provincial Court has issued an arrest warrant for Thanapat on charges of murder.
The police chief said: ‘Initially, we will charge him for murder and carrying a gun without a license. ‘We also have a lead that he is hiding in Singburi province so officers are searching the area. ‘From speaking to witnesses, the shooting appears to have happened after a personal dispute between the killer and the victim from a long time ago.’
