Former Indian president, APJ Abdul Kalam dies at 83

The former statesman was giving a lecture at the Indian Institute of Management in Shillong on Monday when he complained of chest pain and collapsed. He was said to have suffered a massive cardiac arrest and was confirmed dead by the ICU of Bethany hospital, were he was rushed to.
Kalam was the 11th President of India from 2002 to 2007 and was considered the most popular President. He was known as the “missile man” for his role in developing the country’s  defence and nuclear technologies.
