Distraught Indian cricket fan kills himself after team lost to Pakistan in 2017 Champions Trophy


A young man ended his life after his favorite cricket team lost the championship game to a rival team, according to police in Bangladesh. The Government Railway Police said that 25-year-old Bidyut Rahman of Jamalpur, decided to jump in front of an oncoming train after the Indian national cricket team lost to Pakistan during the 2017 Champions Trophy. The incident unfolded on Sunday, after Pakistan defeated India by 180 runs. Despite living in Bangladesh, Rahman was a diehard fan of the Indian team. He watched every game, and was very excited when the Indian cricket team advanced to the finale game to win the 2017 Champions Trophy.
However, after the crushing loss to Pakistan, Rahman became very distraught. He went to a train station, and threw himself in front of an oncoming train. Rahman was declared dead at the scene.
