Son bites off father’s ear during argument about nationality of tennis player

A frustrated mother watched as her son was attacking his stepfather during a silly argument about a tennis player, according to police in Scotland. Inverness police said that they have arrested 34-year-old Lee Clarke, after being accused of biting off the ear of his stepfather, 54-year-old Alistair Wilson. Clarke pleaded guilty to assault at the Inverness Sheriff Court. He will be sentenced later this month.
According to the police investigation, Clarke, Wilson, and Mandy Wilson, were spending time together when an argument broke out about whether tennis player Andy Murray, was Scottish or British. Suddenly, the argument turned violent. After Alistair put Clarke in a headlock, the son proceeded to bite off a piece of his stepfather’s ear. Clarke’s mother Mandy, who witnessed the fight, called police to intervene and stop the attacks. Police officers who arrived at the scene, found a large amount of blood on the living room floor. They also found Alistair’s severed ear on the floor. Alistair was rushed to the Raigmore Hospital, where doctors tried to reattach the severed ear. However, the ear did not heal properly, and doctors were forced to amputate it. Alistair did not suffer any hearing loss as a result of the attack.
He also suffered a black eye during the fight. The court heard that Alistair will remain permanently disfigured.
