'Ronaldo offered himself to Juventus'

Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly offered his services to Juventus before the 2018 FIFA World Cup after feeling insulted by the treatment from Real Madrid and club president Florentino Pérez. Ronaldo, 33, is seemingly on the verge of a dramatic exit from the 13-time European champions after eight record-breaking seasons in Spain.
The club's all-time record goalscorers' exit threats have often arisen during the off-season in a bid to negotiate a new contract, but Real's stern approach has seen him and his agent Jorge Mendes assess new options. Spanish publication Marca claims Ronaldo, who currently earns €21m euros a year at Real, feels mistreated by the club over Pérez's broken promises.
And his unhappiness over the situation escalated when Barcelona rewarded his fierce rival Lionel Messi a lucrative €45m annual wage in November - added to the €37m salary that Neymar now receives at Paris Saint-Germain following his world-record move to France last August.
Ronaldo was allegedly led to believe that, after winning the 2017 Ballon d'Or, Real would finally renew his terms; however, not only did that not happen, but Los Blancos issued a €100m price-tag on his head, while publicly flirting with the idea of a €300m move for Neymar.
Premier Sport says that the Portugal captain and his agent, Jorge Mendes, met Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici before the World Cup to offer his services in a move that could shock the entire football fraternity.
